My Giant Shopping Trip | Paid $11.42 AND Received $20 in Gas Points | Gas Deals & Cream Cheese Deal!

My Giant shopping trip included two gas deals and the very hot Cream Cheese deal!  My total for 21 items was $11.42 but I also received a value of $20 in gas – a moneymaking shopping trip!  Valid this week through Saturday, January 31, 2015.

This week we have two gas reward promotions at Giant!

The first deal is buy 7 participating products and earn 400 gas reward points ($0.40 off per gallon, up to 25 gallons of gas).  You may mix-n-match any 7 items in this list.

I did the gas deal offered above twice (buy 7 participating products and earn 400 gas reward points).  You may do it 10 times.  I purchased these 14 items:
• 8 – Hefty Foam Plates, 3/$5 ($13.36)
• 4 – KidFresh Entrees, $2.50 ($10) (Have no idea what these taste like!)
• 2 – McCormick Skillet Sauces, $1.50 ($3)

I used 4 $1/2 Hefty Coupons printed from redplum.com., 2 $.75/1 McCormick Skillet Sauces printed from here (each doubled to $1.50 making them FREE) and 2 BOGO FREE KidFresh Entrees (coupon subtracted the shelf price $3.99) printed from SaveInStore.  Some of the coupons may not be available to print anymore.  My best advice to print coupons daily.
Gaint is also offering a deal where you save $7 instantly when you purchase 7 items of participating Nabisco, Kraft, or Coca-Cola products.
I bought 5 Philadelphia Cream Cheese & 2 Kraft Deluxe Macaroni & Cheese and received $7 off at the register instantly. I used 5 $.50/1 Philadelphia Cream Cheese coupon (all doubled to $1) that I had printed earlier from Coupons.com (no longer available).  These items ended up to be free (actually overage of $.50 that was applied toward the other items I purchased).

I hesitated to post this deal since the coupon is no longer available to print but Philadelphia Cream Cheese is a good deal even without the coupons!  Buy 7 Philadelphia Cream Cheese ($10.50) and Get $7 Instant Savings at the Register.  You would pay $3.50 for 7 Cream Cheeses or $.50 each!

My total for this shopping trip totaled $11.42 after sales and coupons.  In addition I received 800 gas points for doing the gas deal twice (400 + 400) and 11 points because I spent $11.  I calculated the value of the gas points by multiplying $.80 times 25 gallons the maximum.  I use gas cans to get the remainder of gas that my car’s gas tank doesn’t hold to maximize my savings.  I plan on writing another post this week on gas deals at Giant.

*Some notes on Gas Points at Giant*
For every dollar spent in stores (after coupons and savings) you’ll earn one point when you use your Giant Bonus Card. For every 100 points you earn, you’ll receive 10¢ off per gallon up to a maximum of 25 gallons of fuel per vehicle per purchase. There’s no limit to the amount of Gas Rewards you can earn. Redeem your points as you earn them or let them add up for more savings. There’s no need to spend $100 all at once. Your points are cumulative and add up on every visit.
Gas Points must be redeemed by the end of the month after the month in which they are earned. When you redeem your gas points any leftover points will carry over.
