North Square Farmers Market Opens Saturday, May 23rd
North Square Farmers Market, 50 N. Main Street, Chambersburg kicks off its season Saturday, May 23 from 8 a.m. to noon. Over twenty local vendors will offer local produce as well as cheeses, breads, fresh-cut flowers, baked goods, handmade soaps, & MORE. Live music by Dan McCarthy at 8:45 am and Don’t Look Down at 10 am. Voila! Children’s Art and Creativity Center will also host a free children’s craft from 9am – 11am. Food vendors will have breakfast and lunch items available.
Free parking at the Courthouse Lot behind the market. The season runs from May 23rd through Oct 17th on Saturday Mornings rain or shine.
This market hosts a neat program for kids! Children ages 3 -12 can sign up for POP (Power of Produce) Club. Members receive $2 in tokens per market visit to be used on produce or vegetable plants! Membership also includes healthy lifestyle workshops twice a month. Membership in POP Club is FREE but you must sign up at the POP stand. The program is run by Healthy Communities Partnership.
