The 4th Annual P.A.P.’S Day in the Park (The P.A.P. Foundation) will be held on May 30, 2015 at Shippensburg Township’s Britton Road Park from 10 am – 4 pm. A fun day for all ages featuring food including chicken dinners, business vendors, DJ Rockin’ McLaughlin, carnival games, bouncy castle, & more! The Lester M. Cline “People Assisting People Foundation” is a 501(c)(3) certified nonprofit organization, whose mission is to offer financial assistance to those in need and living with life-altering, long-term chronic diseases.
HARBOR DAY 15 is Saturday, May 30th at Southampton Park on Airport Rd in Shippensburg from 8:30 am – 1:30 pm. The fun day is the annual fundraiser for The Harbor. Events include 3 on 3 Basketball (half court) tournament, Co-ed Sand Volleyball tournament, 5K walk/run, silent auction and food!
CV Hitmen vs Haven War Hawks at 1PM. Join the CV Hitmen on May 30th at Tiger Stadium, 3 Whitehouse Rd, Shippensburg for their final regular season game against the Haven War Hawks. Family friendly, full contact football. Admission is FREE.
Beyond Shippensburg
9th Annual Newville Rural Festival is Saturday, May 30, 2015 from 9AM to 3PM at the Newville First Church of God, 475 Shippensburg Road, Newville, PA. Rain or shine. Free admission and free parking. The festival features over 59 craftsman and exhibitors, including antique tractors, classic and antique cars, motorcycles, hit and miss engines, spinning wheels, and broom making. A tractor parade featuring our exhibitors will be held at 2:30PM. Home-made food. Live musical ministry all day by Frances Drost, Remix and Crystal River. Children’s Garden activities, barrel train ride, pony rides and more!
The 5th Annual Plein Air Camp Hill Arts Festival will be held May 29-31 in Camp Hill, PA. This FREE festival for people of all ages & skill levels features a competition for painters and photographers, quick draw and quick shoot competitions, youth “paint out,” student competitions, free workshops, demonstrations, lectures, live music and food. Most activities will be around Willow Park at 24th and Market Streets on the main festival day, Saturday, May 30th, 9:00am to 8:00pm.
North Square Farmers Market is located at 50 N. Main Street, Chambersburg. The market is on Saturday, May 30th from 8 a.m. to noon. Over twenty local vendors will offer local produce as well as cheeses, breads, fresh-cut flowers, baked goods, handmade soaps, & MORE. Strung Tight will perform 9am – 11am. Children ages 3 -12 can sign up for POP (Power of Produce) Club. Members receive $2 in tokens per market visit to be used on produce or vegetable plants!
