Lollipop Shop Car Show will be held Saturday, May 9th at the Southampton Township Park, 200 Airport Rd, Shippensburg. Rain date is May 10th.
Lowe’s Build & Grow is having their next event on Saturday, May 9th at 10 am. Bring your child to Lowe’s and they can build a Mother’s Day Planter! This is a FREE event but you do need to register. (This event is currently full in Shippensburg).
Mountain Ride & Aveymusic.com present A Night of Bluegrass & Friends live @ THE THOUGHT LOT. May 9th. Enjoy Bluegrass music with live performances by Mountain Ride, Tuckahoe Ridge, Chuck Darwin & The Knuckledraggers, and Alison & Dave’s Old Time Good Time Classical Kitchen String Band. Whitetail Resort, Mercersburg is celebrating Moms on Mother’s Day. Whitetail Golf Resort is offering all Mothers a FREE round of golf AND a complimentary Special Grille Feature lunch* on Sunday May 10th. *Special Grille Feature Lunch Includes: A Turkey & Avocado Sandwich on hearty wheat bread with lettuce, tomatoes, and a cranberry cream cheese spread. Friends of Legal Services begins its 3 day book sale Friday at Laird Hall, Wilson College campus in Chambersburg. Mercersburg Springfest is happening downtown Mercersburg on May 9th from 9:00 am – 4:00 pm. It features over 100 Craft, Jewelry, Food, and Community Vendors Fun and Entertainment. Kids Korner at Mercersburg Elementary – Rock Wall, Moon Bounce, Face Painting, Ponies and more.
Master Gardener Greenhouse Plant Sales will be held May 9 & 16 at 181 Franklin Farm Ln, Chambersburg Large selection of reasonably priced vegetables, annuals, herbs, vines and hanging flower pots. Featured: 10 hot pepper and 25 tomato varieties Two days – May 9 & 16 from 9 am – 1 pm
Hollabaugh Brothers located at 545 Carlisle Rd, Biglerville, PA 17307 is having a Mother’s Day Paint and Plant Children’s Event. Stop by the market on Saturday, May 9 any time between 10AM and 4PM, paint a flower pot and then plant it with flowers. Cost: $10 for all the supplies and flowers you need to make Mom a one-of-a-kind gift! Registration is not required. This event will be held rain or shine!
Fish Rodeo at Red Run Park – Washington Township on Saturday, May 9 – 8AM to 4PM. The Rouzerville Fish and Game Association will host its annual Fish Rodeo at Red Run Lake. Children ages 4 to 15 are permitted to fish. The rain date for the rodeo is Sunday, May 10, 2015.
Dickinson Township and Mt. Holly Fish and Game Association will host a Children’s Fishing Derby on May 09, 2015 from 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM for children ages 3 to 12 at the Mt. Holly Fish and Game Pond. Along with Fishing, there will be prizes, raffles, food, crafts! Mt. Holly Fish and Game Pond is located on Old Town Road, Mt. Holly Springs, PA.
Annual Olde York Street Fair will be held in downtown York on May 10 from 12:30-6PM. It will feature 100+ artisans and food vendors as well as live entertainment and strolling performers. The Kid’s Fun Block will have rides, games and face-painting. Several stage areas near Continental Square will feature live entertainment in a variety of genres.
The Antique Automobile Club of America Museum (AACA) Museum, Hershey is offering all Moms FREE Admission on May 10, 2015 along with a complimentary rose for the first 100 moms courtesy of Hammaker’s Flowers of Lemoyne. The AACA Museum has some great featured exhibits along with lots of interactive activities for the whole family to enjoy including an interactive photo stop and model trains.
Moms will receive FREE admission to The Hershey Story, The Museum on Chocolate Avenue on Mother’s Day, Sunday, May 10 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Moms are admitted free on Mother’s Day at Hershey Gardens 170 Hotel Road, Hershey, PA 17033. Dates: May 10, 2015 from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Hershey Gardens opened in 1937 with Milton Hershey’s request to “create a nice garden of roses.” It has blossomed into 23 acres of beautiful themed gardens, colorful seasonal displays, unique trees, outdoor Butterfly House and 5,000 rose bushes.
Dillsburg PickleFest will be held Saturday, May 9, 2015 in Downtown Dillsburg from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM. PickleFest activities include a Street Fair featuring a variety of Arts & Crafts vendors along with businesses, local organizations & food vendors. There will also be a blood drive and a 5K race (Pickle Chase), 1-mile Fun Run for children, magic show, musical performance, bounce house, and pickle-eating contest. Publick Tyme at Dill’s Tavern will have historic displays, demonstrators, tours, re-enactors and encampments.
Cumberland Drive-In Theatre, 3290 Ritner Highway, Newville This weekend May 8th-10th First Feature: The Avengers; Second Feature: McFarland, USA Gates open at 7 p.m. First Feature begins at approximately 8:15 p.m.
Taylor’s Greenhouse located behind the South Mountain Fairground at 265 Fairgrounds Rd., Biglerville, PA is hosting two events. On May 9th from 10 am to 2 pm Penn State Master Gardeners will conduct a “Make & Take” workshop. Gardeners will plant “You Bet Your Bundt” planter. This planter will fit around the umbrella pole on your picnic table. Cost for workshop is $10.00 which includes the container & soil. Plants are extra. On May 10th from 1pm to 3 pm there will be a Mommy & Me Planter workshop. Moms and their children can make a memorable Mother’s Day Planter. Feedbag Catering and Antietam Dairy will be selling refreshments both Saturday (5/9) and Sunday (5/10). Cost for the workshop is $5.00.
