H. Ric Luhrs Performing Arts Center, located on the campus of Shippensburg University is kicking off its 10th Anniversary season. Individual tickets, Flex Series and Subscription Series tickets for the entire season will go on sale Saturday, July 18 at 11 AM.

Shippensburg Band & Community Vespers Service will take place on Sunday, July 19th on the Shippensburg Fair Stage at 7:00 pm. FREE Admission. Come celebrate the opening of the 58th Annual Fair. Regular fair schedule begins on Monday – No rides, games, vendors or exhibits are open on Sunday.

ChambersFest continues through July 18th. Highlights include:
- The Chambersburg Quilt Quild presents a quilt show, Quilted Treasures at Falling Spring Presbyterian Church on Friday, July 17, 2015 9am – 7pm and Saturday, July 18, 2015 9am – 4pm.
- Old Market Day Saturday, July 18th 9 am to 4 pm. A street festival in downtown Chambersburg featuring art, craft and food vendors, kids activities, entertainment on two stages and the North Square Farmers Market.
- CVSM Camp presents “Annie” and Sam’s Music Camp Performance. Saturday, July 18th 9 am & 10 am. – First United Methodist Church At 9 am, the students of the Cumberland Valley School of Music (CVSM) Voice & Drama Camp present scenes and songs from “Annie” followed at 10 am by Sam’s Music Camp participants who will perform songs and dances they have learned.

Enjoy history exhibits, kids activities, vendors, guided Civil War walking tours and more downtown from 6 – 8:15 pm From 7:15 – 8:15 pm will also be the final round in the musical competition A Capella & Unplugged. At 8:50 p.m. the reenactment of the Burning of Chambersburg begins featuring an exciting light show. - Illuminate! The After Party. Saturday, July 18th 10 pm – The Capitol Theatre

Hagerstown Regional Airport and the Hagerstown Aviation Museum presents a behind-the-scenes look at Hagerstown-built aircraft during Open Airplane Afternoon on Sunday, July 19th, 1 pm – 4 pm. Bring the family out to the Hagerstown Regional Airport and climb aboard the Fairchild C-82 and C-119 Flying Boxcar. Or check out the 1928 Kreider Reisner KR-31 biplane, 1943 Fairchild PT-19 WWII Trainer and Fairchild 24, all built in Hagerstown. Admission is free but donations are accepted. Event location: Hagerstown Regional Airport Terminal 18434 Showalter Rd, Hagerstown, MD 21742. Follow signs. Park in the terminal parking lot.
Carlisle Performance and Style – Hottest, Loudest, Fastest, Most Tricked-out Cars, Trucks, SUVs on the East Coast Saturday, July 18 8 am – 7 pm , Sunday, July 19 9 am – 3 pm at the Carlisle Fairgrounds. P&S is a motorsports and lifestyle festival that celebrates the hottest and ever evolving trends in the motorsports world. Displays, stunts, live music, competitions and more. Williams Grove Speedway, 1 Speedway Drive, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055 is hosting Kids Night this Saturday, July 18th 7 pm! General Admission at 4:30 pm for Kids Night Activities. There are games, activities, prizes, candy, face painting, bike and big wheel races too! Williams Grove Speedway features American Sprint car racing since 1939. Gate Admission $6; kids 12 & under FREE.
The Rescue Hose Company’s Annual Fireman’s Carnival is being held now through July 18th at Blue Heron Events Center, 407 S. Washington St., Greencastle. Games, rides, cash bingo and food. Kids ride all night for $20 Monday through Thursday. Friday and Saturday the cost is $1 per ride from 6 to 10 p.m. There will be two shows nightly at 7:15 and 9:15 on the Antrim Way Honda Stage.
Fayetteville Volunteer Fire Department Carnival will be held nightly now through July 18th at 101 W Main Street, Fayetteville. Rides, Games, Food, Nightly Entertainment. The carnival closes at 10pm each night and Saturday night is the fireworks. If the forecast is for rain on Saturday, fireworks will be moved to Friday night.
The Upper Frankford Fire Co. Fair will be held nightly Thursday, July 16 until Saturday, July 18 in Bloserville. The fair starts at 5 p.m. on Thursday with games, food and rides. A car show will kick off Saturday’s festivities with registration starting at 10 am. Activities will include on-stage live entertainment, Kiddie Land and lots of homemade food.
“Colonist for a Day” is a FREE event held July 18th from 10 am – 2 pm at Colonial Complex (Gates House, Plough Tavern, Bobb Log House & Colonial Court House), 157 W Market St, York, PA. Hands-on experiences/activities and demonstrations include: cooking over a fire, 18th century home remedies, carpentry, colonial gardening and farming, French and Indian War Re-enactors
In honor of National Ice Cream Day, Monkey Joe’s Camp Hill will be hosting a special customer appreciation event on Sunday, July 19 providing children free ice cream while supplies last. Monkey Joe’s Camp Hill features an obstacle course, inflatable slides, and bounce houses for kids 12-years-old and younger. The indoor inflatable play center is located at 3608 Hartzdale Drive in Camp Hill near Highway 15.
The 15th Annual Adams County Irish Festival will be held rain or shine on Saturday July 18 from 10 am to 5 pm at Moose Park in Straban Township about 3 ½ miles east of Gettysburg. The festival offers family fun for all with Irish music all day, dancers, food, beverages, Irish gifts, a living history encampment & more! Musical entertainment features Timlin & Kane along with The Kilmaine Saints, Irishtown Road and Across the Pond. Admission is $10 per person and children 12 & under are free. Gates open at 10:00am. Free parking! Bring lawn chairs or blankets.

A Miniature Train rides the rails at Norlo Park, 3050 Lincoln Way East, Fayetteville on Saturdays. It is open to riders of all ages. The train, complete with a cattle car and caboose, is FREE to ride on Saturdays weather permitting from 1 PM to 4 PM throughout Summer & Fall!

Totem Pole Playhouse, 9555 Golf Course Road, Fayetteville, PA, will present a FREE Children’s Theatre performance of The Tortoise and Hare Race Again at 10 a.m. every Saturday morning in July.
