First Friday – Greencastle on October 2, 5 pm – 8 pm. On the Square: Rudy & The Bluefish, GAHS art club face painting, town mural, Antietam Diary, ice cream, Hope Valley Gardens selling fresh fall flowers, Bentwood Smokers Barbecue and Catering  Due to the forecasted rain and weather, First Friday has been cancelled for Friday, October 2nd.

Shop Greencastle Saturday, October 3 from 10 am until 5 pm.  Join the Greencastle Shopkeepers at their locations for special activities, discounts and giveaways throughout the day. (This event will still be held.)

First Friday Event on October 2, 5 pm – 8 pm in downtown Chambersburg.  Artists, kids’ activities, musical entertainment, extended hours at shops and restaurants, in-store specials, and more.

Mutts Gone Nuts at The Capitol Theatre, Chambersburg on Saturday, Oct 3rd at Noon. Before the show enjoy a free event, I Love My Dog Day from 10 am – Noon. There will be dog-themed activities and vendors.

Pleasant Hall Volunteer Fire Company will host the 6th Family Fun Day on 9722 Cumberland Hwy, Pleasant Hall.  $1.00 Admission.  4 pm to 8 pm  Rain or Shine.  Admission includes inflatable rides, snacks, drinks, coloring pages, and much more.

Market Day, Main St., Waynesboro is on Saturday, October 3 from 9 am – 4 pm.  The event features all-day entertainment, including live music, dancing demonstrations, sidewalk sales, Mad Anthony’s Chili-Cookoff, pony and hayrides, children’s activities and dozens of craft, specialty and food vendors. Market Day 2015 is cancelled.

Wings and Wheels Expo is an aircraft & car display with a public Airport Open House, hosted by the Hagerstown Regional Airport located on Showalter Road, Hagerstown MD. Antique & modern aircraft, antique cars, trucks, motorcycles, fire trucks, food, music & more. Two A-10’s will fly into the airport around 9:30 am. Free Young Eagle Aircraft Flights (Children 8-17). Free admission (donations accepted).Due to impending weather and the threat of hurricane Joaquin the Wings and Wheels Expo 2015 has been canceled.

Downtown Chambersburg celebrates Oktoberfest on October 3, 2015.   New Texas Lunch parking lot at the corner of W. King St. and Hood St., Chambersburg. Fun-filled day for the whole family – German music, food, duck derby, kids activities and beer. Admission fee.  This event will go on Rain or Shine.

Garden Harvest Day will be held at Kings Gap Environmental Education Center, 500 Kings Gap Road, Carlisle on Sunday, October 4th from noon – 5 pm.  Leaf printing, apple cider pressing, pumpkin painting, apple butter making, birdfeeder building, children’s activities, corn shelling and cracking, hayrides, a honeybee keeper, self-guided mansion and garden tours, apple pie and salsa recipe contests, live music, craft vendors and food stands.  See the flyer here.

Fall Carlisle Collector Car Swap Meet, 1000 Bryn Mawr Road Carlisle will take place Sept. 30 – Oct. 4.   Explore one of the world’s largest automotive swap meets, featuring 150 acres and 8,100 vending spaces. Carlisle Fairgrounds, Carlisle.

The National Apple Harvest Festival at the South Mountain Fairgrounds will be held October 3-4 and 10-11, 2015. Hours are 8 am to 6 pm daily, rain or shine. The festival has arts and crafts, demonstrations, contests, food stands, petting zoo, entertainment & more! General tickets $10, Seniors 60+ $9, Military w/ ID $9 (at gate), Kids under 12 FREE.  See the flyer here.

Illuminate Women’s Conference is happening at Chambersburg First Church of God October 2-3. More information can be found at illuminatewomen.cc and group rates are available for 10 or more, and there are one day pass options as well.

12th Annual Harvest Farm Festival at Stoner’s Dairy Farm & Corn Maze will be held Saturday, October 3 from 9 am until 5pm. Admission: $7 per person, children ages 2 and under are free. Scarecrow Factory, Family Portraits, Pumpkin Patch, Corn Cannon, and Food require an additional fee.  The 12th Annual Harvest Farm Festival Scheduled for this Saturday October 3rd, has been cancelled due to the weather forecast.  Some of the events will be moved to NEXT Saturday October 10th from 10-5.

Meadowbrooke Gourds, 125 Potato Road, Carlisle will be holding their Fall Fest on Oct 3 & 4.  Horse Drawn Hayrides.  The cost of the hayrides range from $2 – $4 depending on age. Create your own unique gourd (10 am – 3 pm) and pick your own Sunflower bouquet too.  Please check here before heading out.

 This Saturday, October 3 from 1:00 pm – 2:30 pm at Tractor Supply is an affordable Pet Vaccine Clinic inside their store for your dog, cat, puppy or kitten.  Find other locations by typing your zip HERE. No appointment needed, just show up during clinic hours.  No office fee.$18 3-year canine rabies; $15 microchipping

Pioneer Festival will be held Oct. 3 at Lake Tobias Wildlife Park, 760 Tobias Drive Halifax. Free pioneer games and crafts for children, authentic primitive shelter, hayrides, food and fun. Sponsored by Messiah Lutheran Church. 11am-4pm.

Stoner’s Dairy Farm, 7678 Oellig Rd, Mercersburg, offers plenty of weekend Fall farm activities.  Corn maze, hay rides, petting zoo & more.  Hours are Fridays 7 – 10 pm (Flashlight Maze), Saturday, noon – 10 pm & Sunday noon – 5 pm. Please visit their website for details.

Paulus Orchards, 522 East Mount Airy Road, Dillsburg has opened for its Fall Season.  5 acre corn maze, pumpkin patch, pick your own apples, and enjoy some fun in PlayLand with tube slides, corn box, tether ball, giant checker game, little log house, spider web, peddle carts, rubber duck races & more.  All day Weekend Farm Admission $7 (ages 3 and up). Seniors $5 (age 65+). Children 2 and under are free.

The Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire will continue Oct. 3 & 4 at Mount Hope Estate. The Faire features costumed characters, themed entertainment, music, dancing, 90 shows daily, royal kitchens, artisan merchants, and handcrafted wares. Mount Hope Estate is located in Northern Lancaster County at 2775 Lebanon Road, Manheim, PA. The event is rain or shine.  Gates open 11 am and close at 8 pm.

Michael’s Kids Club is every Saturday from 10 am – Noon for ages 3 and up. For $2 your child can make a seasonal craft for 30 minutes while you shop!  On Saturday, Oct. 3rd the children will be making a Harvest Mobile. Sign up at Classes & Events | Michaels Stores.
