Shippensburg
- Tiny World, 6720 Rice Rd. is a miniature village whose tiny buildings are landscaped, lighted and furnished. Admission is free, but donations are accepted. Santa will be visiting on Saturday, December 19th 6 pm.
- On December 19th from 10 am – noon, you can have Cupcakes with Santa at D’Lish Bakery, 17 Shippensburg Shopping Center. Stop in to visit with Santa and stay to have some FREE hot cocoa and cupcakes!
- Christmas music with the group Entrusted365 at The Local Gathering on Dec 18th 7 pm. Doors open at 6pm. This is a free event held at 611 Shippensburg Rd. (Newburg Rd Rt. 696 from Shippensburg; Half Mile past the Ridge Road)
- The Greyhound Family Restaurant is having a Santa Breakfast on Saturday, December 19th from 10 am – noon.
Pleasant Hall
- Breakfast with Santa will be held at the Pleasant Hall Volunteer Fire Company, 9722 Cumberland Highway on Saturday, December 19 8 am – 10 am. $4 adults, kids 12 and under free. No reservations needed.
Chambersburg
- Greenvillage Drive-In Restaurant will be having a Santa Breakfast on Saturday, December 19th from 8 am-10:45 am.
- The Old Jail (175 East King Street in Chambersburg) will have a special Christmas Around the World exhibit on December 19 from 10am-4pm and December 20 from 1pm-4pm. Various rooms will feature displays from England, Germany, France, and more! The cost is $4.00.
- The Wilson Family’s Christmas Lights Show at 490 Starr Avenue, Chambersburg will run daily from 5pm-10pm November 29 until January 3rd! The animated show with over 100,000 lights will raise money for The Arc of Cumberland & Perry Counties (CPARC) this year. The mission of CPARC is to provide support, training, and opportunities to people with intellectual disabilities and their families.
- Chambersburg Ballet Theatre (CBT) presents its original version of the traditional family favorite, “The Nutcracker” at the Capitol Theatre in two matinee performances on Saturday and Sunday, December 19th and 20th, at 3:00 pm. Tickets for the CBT’s “The Nutcracker” are available at the Capitol Theatre Box Office, (717) 263-0202, or online. Prices, which include ticketing fees, are as follows: Adults – $16; Students – $13; Children under 5 years – FREE; Groups of 10 or more adults – $15/person; Groups of students – $12/student.
- The Towne Singers will be presenting a Holiday concert on Friday, December 18 7 pm at St. Paul United Methodist Church, 750 Norland Ave.
Carlisle
- Benchfield Farms will be offering Carriage rides in downtown Carlisle (weather permitting) on Saturday, December 19 5 pm – 9 pm. Carriage rides will cost $5 for Adults, $3 Children Ages 6 -12, children 5 and under are free. Rides will load and unload next to the Old Courthouse at Hanover and High streets. Private carriage rides will cost $25.00; reservations are not required, but recommended. To reserve a private or larger group ride with Benchfield Farms Carriage call 717-269-8554. This is the last date for the season.
- Night In Bethlehem will be presented by Calvary Temple Pentecostal Church, 716 Forge Road, Carlisle. December 18th & 19th 6:00pm – 9:00pm. Take a Stroll into Bethlehem and meet the towns people. Stop by the many booths in the Market and let your Child enjoy the crafts. Make sure you stop in the Bethlehem Kitchen for a cookie and Hot Chocolate or Coffee.
Gettysburg
- Totem Pole Presents A Christmas Carol Location: The Majestic Theater, 25 Carlisle St., Gettysburg. Thurs., 2 p.m.; Fri., 8 p.m.; Sat., 2 & 8 p.m.; Sun., 2 p.m. Rediscover the magic of the Christmas Spirit with this holiday classic. $20-$36/person.
Greencastle
- A Live Nativity will be held at Hurley Auctions, 2800 Buchanan Trail E, Greencastle. Thursday, December 17th & Friday, December 18th 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm. Live animals, manger scene with wise men, choir, and hot coco. Donations for the local Food Bank will be accepted at this event.
Hagerstown
- Santa is coming to Hagerstown Regional Airport! Children will have the chance to chat with Santa and take a fun photo by the tree with Mr. and Mrs. Claus. Visitors are encouraged to bring their own cameras to capture images as well. Thursday, December 17 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. ; Sunday, December 20 4 p.m. – 6 p.m. ; Tuesday, December 22 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. ; and Wednesday, December 23 3:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.
