Shippensburg
The Cumberland Valley Hitman Organization is a local semi-pro football team. Their Season Opener CV Hitmen vs NEPA Shock is this Saturday, March 19 at Tiger Stadium in Cleversburg, PA. Kick-off is 1PM. Free Admission.
Fairy Garden Classes will be held Friday, March 18 4:30 pm & Saturday, March 19 10 am at Maplewood Produce and Greenhouse. (Sign Up by Thursday, March 17) $20 Sign up fee includes 3 mini plants and soil. Bring your own containers. Available for purchase accessories, stones, moss and a large variety of new miniature plants.
Shippensburg Area Middle School will perform Shrek, Jr. on March 17, 18, & 19 at 7 pm! Tickets: $7/Adults & $5/Students
The 3rd Annual St. Patrick’s Day 5k Race at the Southampton Township Community Center (58 Cleversburg Rd) will take place on Saturday, March 19th. Register Online at Timber Hill Timing. Post race food and beverages will be available at the awards ceremony held inside the Southampton Township Community Center. Online registration is open and will close on Saturday March 19 at 7:00 AM. Same day registration and packet pickup will begin at 9:00 AM at the Southampton Township Community Center. Registration closes 15 minutes before the event starts. (The Cumberland Valley Race Series is a yearlong competition consisting of events held throughout the Cumberland Valley. The Series is administered by Timber Hill Technology Solutions, LLC and the races are timed by Timber Hill Timing).
Skippyjon Jones Snow What (& the Seven Chihuahuas) will be presented on Saturday, March 19 11 am & 2 pm at H. Ric Luhrs Performing Arts Center, Shippensburg University. This program is approximately one hour in length and is appropriate for audiences in grades Pre-K – 3. Skippyjon Jones is a Siamese cat who thinks he’s a Mexican Chihuahua! The brand-new musical, based on the book by Judy Schachner, is a twist on the classic fairy tale Snow White and the Seven Dwarves. Tickets: All seats $15
The Shippensburg University chapter of Tau Kappa (women’s athletics honors sorority) is hosting its sixth annual “Project Prom Dress” event. “Project Prom Dress” will be held Sunday, March 20 from 8 a.m. – 3 p.m. inside Heiges Field House. Proceeds benefit a local charity. Items for sale will include gently used prom dresses, homecoming dresses, purses, dress shoes and jewelry. Dresses are $5 to $30, accessories will cost 50 cents to $3 to $4, and shoes will be priced $15 or lower.
An indoor glow in the dark egg hunt will be held in Shippensburg at Dance Academy XIV (16 W. King Street, Suite 201) on Saturday, March 19 2 – 4 pm. There will be 4 age groups limited to 50 kids per group. Ages toddler thru 4, 5-8, 9-12, and 13-16! As the kids get older, the lights will get darker. Families with children ages 2-12 may join The Shippensburg Public Library for their annual Egg Hunt on Saturday, March 19th. Bring your own basket and meet upstairs in the children’s program room for our annual Egg Hunt sponsored by the Friends of the Shippensburg Public Library! Southampton Cumberland Twp. Park and Recreation will be having an Easter Egg hunt on March 20th at 2:00 pm. The egg hunt will be on the Soccer fields at 140 Airport Rd, Shippensburg.140 Airport Rd. Shippensburg (Soccer Fields) 10000 Eggs and Candy. No age group. Free to public.

Orrstown
Orrstown United Brethren Church (3689 Orrstown Rd, Orrstown) will have their Egg Hunt on March 19th at 10 am. Crafts, lesson, games, and an Egg Hunt and Prizes. All are welcome.
Roxbury
The Blue Mountain Skating Rink is located 1 mile west of Roxbury, PA on Rt 641. The roller skating rink is open for public skating on Friday evenings from 7-9 PM Admission is only $3 and skate rentals are $1. Kids 6 and under are FREE and non-skating adults are FREE.
Carlisle
Meadowbrooke Gourds, 125 Potato Road Carlisle, is having its Spring Fest on March 19 & 20 from 10 am – 4 pm each day. You may create your own bunny and chick or paint your own eggs and baskets! No reservation is needed for this event. All ages are welcome. There is a charge for the workshops. The prices range from $1.50 to $35.00 depending on the gourd you choose to create. The last seating is at 3:00 PM which allows you an hour to finish your crafting. If you will need more time, please come early. Find all the details at Spring Fest 2016.
Taste of Carlisle is the Chamber’s yearly food event presented in partnership with the Downtown Carlisle Association. Local restaurants, pubs, caterers, cafes, and bakeries offer taste samplings to attendees. Choose Your Experience: Attendees have the opportunity to choose between two experiences at Taste of Carlisle, a VIP celebration and general admission. VIP Celebration Tickets cost $25 and offer a 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM admittance time. General Admission Tickets are available for $15 and provide admittance from 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM. Children 10 & under are FREE. The Meadows Frozen Custard of Carlisle, 1075 Harrisburg Pike is offering a free small Italian ice on Sunday, March 20th! One free small Italian Ice per person. The Meadows is open daily from 11 am – 9 pm.
Chambersburg
On March 19 and March 20, the annual Franklin County Rock and Mineral Club will host their 38th Annual Rock Gem and Mineral Show at Hamilton Heights Elementary School, 1589 Johnson Road. Sat. 10-5, Sun. 10-4; Admission $5, Children under 12 free; Jewelry, gemstones, minerals, fossils, displays demonstrations, and door prizes.
The first Point Flea Market/Yard Sale, 800 Lincoln Way West, Chambersburg will be held this Saturday, March 19 8 am – 4 pm. It is outdoors and is open to the public.

Arsenic and Old Lace will be performed at the Capitol Theatre, 159 S. Main Street, Chambersburg on Fridays-Sundays through March 20. Arsenic and Old Lace is a dark comedy that explores human family relationships and the influence genetics may play in morality, mental health, hobbies and homicide.

There will be an Easter Hound Hunt on Sunday, March 20 at 2 pm (registration at 1 pm) at Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter. Come with your dog on a leash and hunt Easter eggs full of dog treats! A minimum $5 donation to the shelter is asked to join in the hunt. See the flyer here.
Redeemer Church is hosting an Egg Hunt with the Easter story at Andrew Buchanan Elementary School, 730 E. Washington, St. Chambersburg. The Hunt will take place March 19th at 4 pm. Sign up free online here.

Gettysburg
On Saturday, March 19th, there will be a FREE Easter Egg Hunt at Battlefield Harley-Davidson, 21 Cavalry Field Rd, Gettysburg! 35,000 Easter eggs for 3 age groups of children, ages 0-4, 5-8, and 9-12. The Easter Bunny, Big Bird, and Elmo will be visit the kids and Freedom Valley Worship Center will have their “Kiddie Pillar.” The dealership opens at 9am, the visitors arrive at 10am, and the hunt starts promptly at 11 am. Please provide your own Easter basket. There is a rain date scheduled for Saturday, March 26th.
Hershey
Zoo America has $5.50 Fridays where all visitors get in for $5.50 every Friday during the winter through March 18, 2016. Admission is regularly $11 per person for ages 9-54, $9 for ages 3-8 & 55+, and free for ages 2 and under.
