Shippensburg
The Little Princess Playhouse at Shippensburg University will present “Wizard of Oz” and “Rapunzel” on April 30, 2016, in Stewart Hall, Old Main Drive, Shippensburg. Shows will be held at 10 and 11:30 AM both days. Tickets are $4, and will be available at the door. Seating is limited. Parking is free and available at nearby Memorial Auditorium.
Shippensburg Fly Fishing Club is hosting its Free Children’s Fishing Derby on April 30 8 AM – noon at Rowe Run Creek in Orrstown. If using a GPS, enter 9713 Rowe Run Road, Shippensburg PA 17257. Registration starts at 7 am. All Children ages 3 – 12 are welcome to participate in this free event. Rain date is May 14th. Prizes will be awarded for tagged fish caught and turned in before Noon. Food and refreshments will be available for purchase.
Victorian-Civil War Era Ball Fundraiser will be held Saturday, April 30th 6:30PM at Shippensburg Church of the Brethren. Enjoy an evening of dancing, ball gowns, a cake walk and laughter. No dance experience needed. Tickets can be purchased at the event. Ticket costs: $20.00 per Individual – $30.00 per couple – $35.00 per immediate family – $15.00 for College Students with ID.
5k Run/Walk to benefit Better Days Animal League will be held April 30th at Shippensburg Township Park, Britton Rd. Registration fee is donated Items. Registration time is 11:00 to 11:45 or Pre- Register by emailing furyfundays@hotmail.com.
Maple Lane Nursery is having an Open House, Saturday, April 30th 8 AM – 5 PM. Everything will be 10% off! Door Prizes and Refreshments. Maple Lane has a large selection of ornamental trees, landscaping plants, roses, concrete products and perennials. Star Roses (40 varieties) will be $19.99. Cumberland Drive-In Theatre, 3290 Ritner Highway, Newville, is open Friday – Saturday, April 29 & April 30. Gates open at 7 pm. Feature begins around 8:15 pm. First Feature: Jungle Book Second Feature: Star Wars $8 Adults; $4 Children 3-12; FREE for Children Under 3. Sunday, May 1 – Bonus Single Feature Jungle Book. Sunday’s admission includes one free small soda OR small popcorn!
Mechanicsburg
On Friday, April 29th 8pm, Williams Grove Speedway,1 Speedway Dr, Mechanicsburg will have 410 Sprints & United Racing Club 360 Sprints Gate admission $16, Youth $10, Kids 12 and under FREE.
Roxbury
The Blue Mountain Skating Rink is located 1 mile west of Roxbury, PA on Rt 641. The roller skating rink is open for public skating this Friday, April 29 from 7-9 PM Admission is only $3 and skate rentals are $1. Kids 6 and under are FREE and non-skating adults are FREE.
Chambersburg
Marion Volunteer Fire Company is hosting a Spring Vendor and Craft Show on Saturday, April 30. Over 30 vendor and crafters will be there! Kitchen will be open for breakfast and lunch. Event runs from 9am-3pm at 5465 Molly Pitcher Hwy, Chambersburg.
On May 1st 9:30 AM, the The Inn at Ragged Edge, 1090 Ragged Edge Road Chambersburg will host an old fashioned “Cruise Inn” Car Show. All are welcome! This is a FREE event. Chef Marcel of the Alpine Eatery will have food available for purchase.
C.V. Antique Engine & Machinery Assoc., Inc.’s Spring Fling Auction will be held April 30 & May 1st (Consignment Sale April 29th 9 AM) Twin Bridge Campgrounds on Twin Bridge Rd., Chambersburg. The Chambersburg Ballet Theatre will present “Carnival of the Animals”, as well as “Taijitu.” Performances for “Carnival of the Animals” are on Friday, April 29th, at 7 pm, and Saturday, April 30th, at 2 pm and 7 pm. Prices, which include ticketing fees, are as follows: Adults – $16; students – $13; children under 5 years – FREE. The Capitol Theatre is located at 159 South Main Street.

Waynesboro
Earth Celebration Day and Festival of Art 2016 Saturday, April 30 11-4 at Renfrew Park in Waynesboro, PA involving educational outreach, art, music, food, and earth friendly activities. This event will be staged outside on the grounds of Renfrew Park. In case of rain it will be held in the gym at Waynesboro Area Middle School.
Harrisburg
Admission is FREE at the upcoming Garden Faire on May 1st at Fort Hunter Park (5300 North Front St. Harrisburg). There will be plants, crafts, & food for sale, as well as music, garden chat, kids activities & more.
Hagerstown
Hagerstown Regional Airport (HGR) and the Hagerstown Aviation Museum present a behind-the-scenes look at Hagerstown-built aircraft during Open Airplane Afternoon on Sunday, May 1st 1PM – 4 PM. This is a chance for aviation enthusiasts to visit aircraft that are part of the Hagerstown Aviation Museum‘s collection. Admission is free but donations are accepted. Event location: Hagerstown Regional Airport Terminal 18434 Showalter Rd, Hagerstown, MD 21742. Park in the terminal parking lot. Follow signs. Gate is located to the rear of the firehouse.
