Shippensburg
On Friday evening, April 8th 6-8 pm view the paintings of Satsvarupa, a Hare Krishna monk whose art has challenged the establishment. Satsvarupa has exhibited in Washington D.C., and New York City as well as many other galleries. Shippensburg Arts Programming and Education (SHAPE) gallery is located at 19 East King St. Shippensburg.

Join the Shippensburg Town Band for a FREE Spring concert on Sunday, April 10th 2:30 PM at Shippensburg Area Senior High School. Selections include: Marches from Star Wars, Bizet’s Farandole, The Keystone, The Magnificent Seven, American marches, and more!
The Shippensburg University Concert Band is comprised of non-music majors. They will hold a FREE Spring concert at the Luhrs Center on Sunday afternoon 3PM, April 10. Music directed by Trever R. Famulare.
Carlisle
Dickinson College will host a science open house called the Science Spectacular on Saturday, April 9 from 6 PM – 10 PM in Tome Hall, Rector Science Complex, located on Louther Street between Cherry and College streets in Carlisle. The Science Spectacular is free and open to the public. Planetarium shows will run every 45 minutes starting at 6pm. There will be experiments such as spectroscopy, hovercraft rides, trebuchet launching and more! Roof will be open all evening for observing, weather permitting. Come when you can, leave when you must.
Newville
Cumberland Drive-In Theatre, 3290 Ritner Highway, Newville, Friday – Saturday April 8 & April 9. Gates open at 7 pm. First features begins at approximately 7:55 pm. Mechanicsburg
On Friday, April 8th 8pm, Williams Grove Speedway, 1 Speedway Dr, Mechanicsburg will have 410 Sprints & Super Sportsman. Gate admission $14, Youth $10, Kids 12 and under FREE.
Roxbury
The Blue Mountain Skating Rink is located 1 mile west of Roxbury, PA on Rt 641. The roller skating rink is open for public skating this Friday, April 8th from 7-9 PM Admission is only $3 and skate rentals are $1. Kids 6 and under are FREE and non-skating adults are FREE.
Chambersburg
Salem United Brethren Church is having a FREE Spring Family Festival on Saturday, April 9, 2016 4 pm – 7 pm. The Spring Family Festival will have activities for the entire family to enjoy together (Food, Music, Games, and Prizes)! Salem UB Church is located at 4349 Letterkenny Rd, Chambersburg.
There will be a Used books and Bake sale at St. John’s United Church of Christ, 1811 Lincoln Way East, Chambersburg. Park in the west lot just off of St. John’s Lane. April 8th – 6-8 pm in Rear lobby and Room 7; April 9th – 9 am to 1 pm in Rear lobby and Room 7
This weekend is the monthly sale at the Vintage Market at the Old Red Barn, 1293 Warm Spring Rd. Open Friday & Saturday from 10-5 and Sunday from 12-5. Offering home decor and refinished furniture, in addition to vintage finds.

KiteFest, a free family event sponsored by the Chambersburg Hispanic American Center, will be held 1 – 5 pm Saturday, April 9, in Nellie and T.K. Nitterhouse Memorial Park, 296 W. Washington St, Chambersburg, adjacent to Franklin County Housing Authority. Kites will be given away to the first 50 families families needing one, and there will be lessons about famous people who flew kites and what makes kites fly.
A Spring Stamp Expo will be held Saturday, April 9 10 am- 5 pm, at Eugene C. Clarke Center. Food bar and Post office available. The Eugene C. Clarke Jr. Community Center, also known as “the Rec Center,” is located at 235 S. 3rd. St, between Washington and Liberty Streets.
Swing into Spring with Hagerstown Municipal Band Big Band, 18 piece jazz swing band will perform April 9th 7 pm, Capitol Theatre, 159 S. Main St., Chambersburg. Waynesboro
Free kite flying for all ages on Saturday, April 9 with expert flying help from Kite Masters, brothers Sam and George Adams, in the meadow behind the museum house at Renfrew Park. Bring your own kite. Build a Kite workshop is scheduled for 12:00–1:30, all welcome; $1 materials donation.
Greencastle
Project Big Love Thirty-One & Origami Owl Bingo Bonanza is being held Sunday, April 10th at Green Grove Gardens, 1032 Buchanan Trail East. Doors open 12:30 pm, games begin 1:30 pm. Children under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Tickets Available HERE.
Mercersburg
Whitetail Golf Resort is hosting a 2016 Frequent Player Card Open House, April 8 & 9. The Frequent Player Card ($99) will give you a 30% discount on green fees from March 15th to October 31st, 2016. Frequent Player Card holders will save 30% off the 18 hole rack or play a 9 hole round for only $9.99 this weekend. Contests and food promotions on both days and a live WAYZ broadcast (noon – 2pm) on Saturday.
Harrisburg
Lego KidsFest will take place April 8 – 10. The family event will feature three acres of hands-on Lego activities and experiences, as well as entertainment. Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex and Expo Center, Harrisburg. This event is SOLD OUT.
Hershey
Hersheypark “Springtime in the Park” is being held this weekend! It is an annual event that allows guests to preview the rides, live entertainment, and everything the park offers before it officially opens for the summer (not all rides will be open). Tickets cost about half of what you would pay on a regular day. All “Springtime In The Park” rides and entertainment are included in your one-price admission. Discount “Springtime In The Park” tickets are available at participating Giant Food Stores in Central PA. At Giant, “Springtime in the Park” Regular (ages 9 -54) tickets are $30.80 and Junior (ages 3-8) & Seniors (ages 55 and over) tickets are both $21.80. Children 0 – 2 are free. “Springtime In The Park” Parking Fee is $8.00 for regular passenger vehicles.
