Pick Your Own Strawberries in & around Shippensburg
Picking local strawberries is great family activity and one of the first signs of Summer!
Most locations for picking your own strawberries in & around Shippensburg are now open. Strawberries should be available for three to four weeks.
Maplewood Produce and Greenhouse, 8564 Olde Scotland Road, Shippensburg has Pick Your Own Strawberries available now. They are also open Memorial Day Monday 8 AM – 4 PM. Bring your own containers or use theirs $2.10/lb. Read about their strawberry festival HERE.
Beam’s Blue Mountain Farm located at 13374 Lurgan Rd., Newburg will open Tuesday, May 31 for pick your own strawberries. The price for Pick Your Own Berries is $2.75/quart. Already picked berries are $4.25. Containers are provided. Regular PYO hours are Monday through Friday 7-11, 4-8 and Saturday 7-4. Store hours are Monday through Friday 10-6 and Saturday 8-4.
Country Creek Produce Farm, 3746 Etter Rd, Chambersburg, (Marion) is also open for Pick Your Own Berries now. Memorial Day Monday 8 AM – 3 PM. Regular hours are Monday thru Thursday 8 AM – 6 PM, Friday 8 AM – 8 PM, Saturday 8 AM – 5 PM, Sunday Noon – 5 PM. Price is $2.50/lb for u-pick (they pick $5/qt). Baskets will be available for $1.25 or bring your own. While there you may enjoy the farm animals and kid friendly things to do like duck races, slides. They also serve Windy Knoll Homemade Ice Cream.
The Drying Shed, 1587 Newcomer Rd, Chambersburg has Pick Your Own Strawberries beginning today, May 28th. They will also be open Memorial Day 7 AM – 5 PM. Hours for picking are 7 AM to 7 PM Monday through Friday (after Memorial Day) and 7 AM to 4 PM Saturday. Closed on Sundays. Bring your own containers or buy theirs for $1.50. Pick your own $2.49 lb (they pick, the price is $5/qt.).
Cross the Creek Farm, 2035 Pine Road, Newville has strawberries available as both pre-picked and pick-your-own. They will be open Memorial Day. Pick Your Own Berries are sold by weight for $2.25 per pound. Pre-picked quarts are $4.75/quart. You can bring your own containers or use quart boxes they provide.
Oak Grove Farms, 846 Fisher Road, Mechanicsburg will be opening Pick Your Own Strawberries on June 1. Wednesday: 7 am till 12 noon; Thursday: 7 am till 12 noon; Friday: 7 am till 7 pm; Saturday: 7 am till 12 noon; Sunday: Closed. Already picked berries are available now $4.99/qt. The pricing for u pick berries is $9.50 for a 4 quart container that is provided or $3 a quart for less than 4 quarts.
