Celebrate 4th of July in Chambersburg (Updated)
Update: The Independence Day celebration at Chambersburg’s Memorial Park has BEEN POSTPONED UNTIL SATURDAY JULY 9, 2016 due to the weather forecast.
The new schedule of events at Memorial Park in Chambersburg on Saturday, July 9th:
Noon — 4:00 PM Car Show
Noon — 9:30 PM Food Stands
3:00 PM — 9:00 PM Games
7:30 PM — 9:30 PM Band Concert (Mercersburg Community Band)
Approximately 9:30 PM Annual Fireworks Display
Chambersburg Fireworks are scheduled for Monday, July 4th at dusk. Cumberland Valley 21 Day Retreat Organization plans the annual 4th of July Celebration at Chambersburg Memorial Park.
At Chambersburg Memorial Park, the annual Day in the Park event will include games and activities for kids and families. Food stands open around Noon. Games beginning around 3 PM – 4 PM include the Plush Jar, the Dime Pitch, the Potty Toss, Roll Down, and Lucky Ducks.
A 4th of July Cruise In is also planned for Monday, July 4th. The Car, Truck & Motorcycle Cruise In will be held at Chambersburg Memorial Park from Noon – 4 PM. No trailered vehicles, all vehicles must be driven onto the show field, open to all years, makes and models. Event registration fee is $5 per vehicle and benefits the Chambersburg’s 4th of July Fireworks. Food including Hamburgers, Hot Dogs, French Fries, and Drinks will be available to purchase.
The Chambersburg Municipal pool will open Monday, July 4 from 12:30 PM – 7:30 PM. $2 Admission.

In the event of rain, Day in the Park will be postponed until the following Saturday, July 9.
