Shippensburg/Roxbury
25th Annual Shippensburg Holiday Parade “It’s a Wonderful Life” will take place Friday, November 18 at 7 PM. Sponsored by the Downtown Organizations Investing Together (D.O.I.T), the parade will feature marching bands, school groups, church youth groups, Boy and Girl Scouts, businesses and other organizations, and Santa Claus. Parade will end at Prince Street with the annual tree lighting ceremony. After the parade visits with Santa, free carriage rides, and refreshments will be at Orrstown Bank, 75 E. King St.
On Saturday, Nov. 19 from 11 AM – 1 PM there will be brunch & pictures with Santa at Christ United Methodist Church 47 E. King St. Also from 11 AM – 2 PM Games, Crafts, Story Time, Gingerbread House Making at Christ United Methodist Church. There are no fees to attend the events.
On Saturday, November 19 there will be a night of live music featuring Timbre at The Thought Lot. $10 admission, $8 for students. Doors open at 6 PM, music starts at 7 PM. All ages welcome. Read more HERE.
The Local Gathering is having a Christmas Holiday Vendor and Craft Show Fundraiser on November 19th, 9AM – 2PM. There will be also a food court.
Lurgan Lions Club Holiday Vendor & Craft Show is on November 19 from 9 AM – 2 PM. Vendors and Crafters will be set up at Lurgan Township Recreation Center, 13978 Cumberland Hwy (Roxbury).
Shippensburg Football will host the second round of District Playoffs against Bishop McDevitt High School on Friday, November 18, 2016. All tickets sold at the gate are $6. Gates will open at 5:30 PM with a game time of 7 PM.
Monday, November 21: This year the Christmas for Causes event will be held at Messiah UM Church (Fellowship Hall – around the back of the church), 30 S. Penn St., Shippensburg on November 21 from 6 PM – 9 PM. Over 20 local crafters, individuals and organizations will be selling reasonably priced holiday gift items and baked goods (cookies, truffles, pumpkin logs and more) just in time for your holiday celebrations.
Newville
Big Spring United Lutheran Church will hold its Christmas Craft Bazaar from 8 AM – 2 PM on Saturday, November 19. Handmade gifts, baked goods, food from the kitchen, and more. The Church is located at 101 Crossroad School Road, Newville.
Greencastle
Friday, November 18th 6:30 – 8 PM is Greencastle’s Tree Lighting Ceremony. Downtown merchants will be open late. FREE hot chocolate, popcorn, cookies and balloons. Sponsored by Herald-Mail Media, it will feature the Greencastle-Antrim High School Band and a quartet singing carols. Spectators will receive songbooks so they can sing along.
The annual Greencastle Christmas Parade will be held November 19 beginning at 9:21 AM. The parade is followed by coffee, cookies, hot chocolate and holiday treat bags. Also, the unveiling of Santa’s Mailbox.
On November 19th, shop the Holiday Gift & Craft Show from 9 AM – 3 PM at Blue Heron Events, 407 S. Washington St., Greencastle. 50 Vendors with Gifts and Crafts.
Chambersburg/Fayetteville
On Friday November 18, Menno Haven is having a Holiday Bazaar featuring Handmade Crafts & Baked Goods by Residents, Staff, & Community Vendors. The Bazaar will be held from 9 AM – 2 PM at their Penn Hall Campus 1425 Philadelphia Avenue (Manor Building ~ Laurel Room).
Calvary United Methodist Church, 150 Norlo Dr, Fayetteville will have its Annual Holiday Bazaar on November 18 & 19 from 9 AM – 2 PM. Christmas decorations, gift baskets, knitted and crocheted items, baked goods, light lunch available.
Providence Place Senior Living Annual Holiday Bazaar will be held on November 19 from 10 AM – 2 PM. Local vendors with unique goods and gift ideas. Providence Place is located at 2085 Wayne Ave, Chambersburg.
Vendors and crafters will be set up to provide Holiday shopping at Hamilton Heights Elementary Holiday Bazaar on Saturday, November 19th from 9 AM – 3 PM. Show is hosted by the Hamilton Heights PTO.
Santa is coming to Chambersburg Mall on Friday, November 18th at 6 PM. He will be at the mall until 8 PM for visiting and photos by Worldwide Photography. There will also be a Christmas Carnival for all children ages 12 and under 6PM – 8PM. Enjoy carnival games throughout the mall. There will be a magic show for children at 7:30 PM.
Come and enjoy the start of the holiday season with the 47th Annual Chambersburg Christmas parade on Saturday, November 19 at 5:30 PM. The parade will start in front of Coyle Free Library at King and Main streets and will proceed south on Main Street, east on Washington Street, and north on Second Street, completing the one-mile parade route at Second and Grant streets. Santa Claus arrives at Memorial Square on his train and lights the Christmas tree.
Waynesboro
The annual tree lighting will be held November 18 from 6:30 – 8 PM on the square in downtown Waynesboro. Santa will arrive in a horse drawn carriage during the parade which is scheduled for Saturday at 2 PM.
Camp Hill
Santa Fest at the Capital Mall, Camp Hill will take place on Saturday, November 19 from 11 AM – 2 PM. Santa Fest with Mrs. Claus, sing a long songs, face painting elves. Crafts for Thanksgiving, free snacks. Register and attend to receive double prints for your same day Santa photos and a chance to win a mall gift card for your holiday shopping.
Gettysburg
On November 19, The Gettysburg Foundation presents the 14th Annual Remembrance Illumination at the Soldiers’ National Cemetery, located between Baltimore Pike and Taneytown Road in Gettysburg. This solemn commemoration features a luminary candle on each of the 3,512 Civil War soldier’s graves. Names of the fallen soldiers will be read throughout the evening. Enter the Cemetery through the gate at Taneytown Road or the gate at Baltimore Street. This non-ticketed event is free and open to the public.
Hagerstown, MD
The Kris Kringle Craft Show will be held Saturday, November 19, from 9 AM to 5 PM, and Sunday, November 20, from 9 AM to 4 PM in the Hagerstown Community College Arcc Arena (Gym) . The show features 260 quality craft vendors offering primitive and country, jewelry, baskets, floral, pottery, quilts, dolls, gourmet foods, candles, gifts, and more. There will be free parking and entertainment. Attendees also will have the chance to win door prizes. Admission into the show is $2 per adult and free to children under 12 years old. Proceeds benefit the HCC Athletic Scholarship Fund, Disabled Veterans, and Wounded Warriors.
New Freedom
Steam Into History is offering a beat Black Friday deal special! Kids ride FREE on Saturday, November 19 & Sunday, November 20th. There will also be sales in the store. Adult rides are $17. Harrisburg
Santa’s Wonderland is at Bass Pro Shops, 3501 Paxton Street, Harrisburg. There are free crafts, games, and activities. Kids get a FREE 4×6 photo with Santa. Please refer to the website for specific times.
Whitaker Center’s Holiday Trains & Trees exhibit is open. Beautifully decorated trees, surrounded by themed toy train sets and hands-on activities. Holiday Trains and Trees is included with standard Science Center admission. Find the Holiday Film Series at the Whitaker Center schedule on their website. The Whitaker Center for Science and the Arts is located at 222 Market Street, Harrisburg.
Hershey
Hersheypark Christmas Candylane continues with select dates until January 1. Admission to Candylane is regularly $19 for ages 3 and up. Children ages 2 and younger are FREE. More than 40 rides are open, including 5 coasters. Discounted ticket info is HERE.
