Shippensburg’s “Drop the Anchor” New Year’s Eve Celebration
This New Year’s Eve, bring the family to downtown Shippensburg for the annual Drop the Anchor event. The family-friendly community event, sponsored by the Shippensburg Rotary Club, will be held from 8 PM to midnight Saturday December 31st at the intersection of King and Earl streets. There is no admission charge and the evening’s activities are FREE.
Entertainment will be provided by Phantom Shadow. Family oriented fun including the zero shock stunt jump, inflatable games and laser tag will be part of the evening’s activities.
Free party favors will be provided by the Beistle Company. Christ United Methodist Church, 47 E. King Street will be open for the evening if you need to warm up. They will also be offering plenty of free goodies!
At midnight, the anchor will be dropped and 2017 will be officially welcomed.
