SHIPPENSBURG CAMPS:
SHIPPENSBURG UNIVERSITY SUMMER CAMPS
Shippensburg University, 1871 Old Main Drive, Shippensburg, PA 17257
Shippensburg University offers a variety of day & overnight summer camps designed to improve athletic skills, provide academic enrichment, and to explore new and exciting activities. Camps in a variety of sports and academic disciplines are available to boys and girls in both residential and commuter plans.
SHIPPENSBURG SUMMER PLAYGROUND
Shippensburg Memorial Park, Park Place, Shippensburg, PA 17257
The Shippensburg Community Parks and Recreation Authority offers a summer playground program for ages 5-14. Summer Playground starts June 5 and ends August 11. The program runs throughout the week Monday through Friday, 7am to 5pm (Late Pickup Available). Fee includes membership to the pool, arts, crafts, sports, and special events! Full-time: $550 Part-Time: $400
SOUTHAMPTON TOWNSHIP SUMMER CAMP
Southampton Township Community Center, 200 Airport Rd, Shippensburg, PA 17257
Southampton Township-Cumberland County’s summer camp is offered to boys and girls age 6-14. This day camp will run from 7:30AM to 4:30PM Monday through Friday. Cost will be $225.00 for the summer. This year’s camp is scheduled to start on June 5 and end August 4. Campers will participate in structured activities that will include nature walks, sports, movies, games, and field trips.
BOYS AND GIRLS CLUB SUMMER CAMP
Shippensburg & Chambersburg location
The Boys & Girls Club offers a six to eight-week summer camp in Shippensburg & Chambersburg where kids can enjoy games, educational field trips, activities, and more with their friends and mentors. Emphasis on Character and Leadership Development, Academic Success, and Healthy Lifestyles. SHIPPENSBURG location: June 12 to August 4, Monday-Friday from 8:30AM to 4:30PM; Price: $40/week Lunch may be provided. CHAMBERSBURG location: June 12 to June 30 and July 10 – 29, Monday-Friday from 9AM to 3PM Price: $30/week Breakfast & lunch provided. Go here for more information or to register.
CAMP SHINE

Camp Shine day camp (West Shore YMCA) for grades 1st through 8th grade. Camp Hours: 6AM – 5:30PM; Camp Weeks: May 30-August 16; Camp Fee per Week: $135

The 2017 Summer Reading Program at our local library is popular with children & parents. Drop in at the library to enjoy free programs over the summer. The Summer Program kicks off on June 6 at 6:30PM with an Ice Cream Party.
2017 CENTRAL PA WRITERS & ILLUSTRATORS SUMMER CAMP

Early Bird Registration for the Central PA Writers and Illustrators Camp at Shippensburg Public Library (June 21-23) for students going into 3rd through 8th grade (advanced students going into 2nd grade may also register) has been extended through April. Students will learn about the creative process and develop their writing and illustrating skills with accomplished authors and illustrators. Cost includes: lunch, snacks, writing and drawing supplies, camp T-shirt, and a book by one of the authors or illustrators. Register for the Ship camp here: www.superreader.org
SUMMER LUNCH PROGRAM
James Burd Elementary School
The Shippensburg Community Resource Coalition is once again planning to host the Summer Lunch Program in Shippensburg! The program is located at James Burd Elementary School this summer. All activities & lunches are free and open to youth ages 5-17. Lunch is served every week day starting June 12 until July 28. The program includes games, crafts and activities from 9AM until 11:30AM when lunch served.
GREYHOUND FOUNDATION CAMP (Summer Art Explorations)
Shippensburg Area Senior High School
The Summer Art Explorations Program for 2017 is scheduled for June 5 – June 8 for 3rd through 8th graders. The summer day camp is held in the art wing of the Shippensburg Area Senior High School from 9AM – 3PM. Tuition is $150 with all supplies provided. Students should bring a packed lunch. There are five course offerings (classes are limited to 16 students).
2017 RON’S RISING STARS FOOTBALL CAMP
Southampton Township Parks New Tiger Stadium
The 8th Annual Ron’s Rising Stars Football Camp will be held July 10-14, 2017 at Southampton Township Parks Tiger Stadium in Shippensburg for ages 8 to 18. Early Bird Registration: Register On/Before April 22, 2017: $200 per child; Register On/After April 23, 2017 : $225 per child
