SHIPPENSBURG
Southampton Township Cumberland County Park and Rec presents BakTrax at Tiger Stadium on Friday, Sept. 29. BakTrax is a band based in the Chambersburg/Hagerstown area playing top tunes of the 70s-80s and a touch of Motown that will make you get up and dance. The concert is FREE. It’s All Greek to You and The Chicken Truck will be onsite at 5PM.
Ship Swag Soiree is Friday, September 29 at 6:30 (208 E. King Street). Wine tasting, local food, and local businesses to shop at with prizes and giveaways.
The Shippensburg Library has scheduled a Library Celebration Day on Sept. 30th to show off the recently completed addition at 73 W. King St. Library Celebration Day activities will include an open air market and book sale from 9AM to 2PM and Smith’s BBQ Chicken Dinners ($12) from 10AM to 1:30PM. In addition, there will be book signings and a Town Band concert. The library will be open, and tours will be offered throughout the day. Children’s activities are also planned.
Maplewood Produce and Greenhouse is having their 2017 Customer Appreciation Days on Friday, September 29 and Saturday, September 30. 10% off fall items (mums, pumpkins, etc). Enjoy a homemade apple dumpling with a scoop of ice cream for $1.99. Free refreshments.

Crawl for a Cause, a baby crawling race is Sep. 30th at 10AM. Registration fee is a pack of diapers and wipes to benefit Shippensburg’s emergency diaper bank, Booty Bundles, spearheaded by the Shippensburg Community Resource Coalition.

Meadowbrooke Gourds Fall Create Your Own is September 30 & October 1.
Celebrate Fall at the Garden Harvest Day at Kings Gap on Sunday, October 1. From Noon to 5PM, the Friends of Kings Gap, Cumberland County Master Gardeners and Kings Gap staff will have a variety of activities for all ages. A nominal fee will be charged for “make and take” items but parking and admission are free.
Fall Carlisle Collector Car Swap Meet, 1000 Bryn Mawr Road Carlisle will take place Sept. 27 – Oct. 1. Explore one of the world’s largest automotive swap meets, featuring 150 acres and 8,100 vending spaces. Carlisle Fairgrounds, Carlisle.

Sponsored by the New Cumberland Olde Towne Association, the annual Apple Festival is held Saturday, September 30 in New Cumberland Borough Park. Visitors enjoy Craft vendors, Food, Bingo, Face Painting, Games, Local Artists, Music, Pony Rides, Pumpkins, Raffle Drawings, Scarecrow Making, and more. Trolleys will pick up and deliver festival guests on Bridge Street at the corners of Third Street, Seventh Street, Park Avenue and Haldeman Boulevard.

Head to your local Target on September 30, 2017 from 10AM – 1PM for a Lego Ninjago scavenger hunt. Kids can get a comic book and keychain, while supplies last.
The 28th Annual Celebration Day Flea Market will be held on the campus of The Village at Luther Ridge on Saturday, September 30 from 8AM to 2PM. The Village at Luther Ridge is located on Route 997 about one half mile south of the Chambersburg Mall. Attractions include many flea market, craft, and party vendors, as well as free entertainment, homemade food, and activities for children.
A Miniature Train rides the rails at Norlo Park, 3050 Lincoln Way East, Fayetteville on Saturdays. It is open to riders of all ages. The train, complete with a cattle car and caboose, is FREE to ride on Saturdays weather permitting from 1 PM to 4 PM throughout Summer & Fall.
MERCERSBURG
The 38th annual Mercersburg Townfest is September 30 from 9AM – 2PM. The event, hosted by the Tuscarora Area Chamber of Commerce, features more than 120 crafters, artisans, culinary and local vendors, entertainment from community and school bands, with a children’s fun section on the grounds of the Mercersburg Elementary School.

Hagerstown Regional Airport and the Hagerstown Aviation Museum will be offering a behind-the-scenes look at Hagerstown-built aircraft during Open Airplane Afternoon, Sunday October 1, 1PM–4PM. Bring the family out to the Hagerstown Regional Airport to climb aboard and sit in the cockpit of the historic Fairchild C-82 and C-119 Flying Boxcars and PT-26 WWII trainer aircraft. FREE admission (donations accepted).

CHAMBERSBURG: Country Creek Produce Farm is home to The Oregon Trail corn maze and more family friendly Fall fun. The farm’s attractions include the corn maze, jump pad, peddle track, quad mountain slides, u-pick pumpkins, hayrides, animals, pumpkin cannon, and more.
MERCERSBURG: Stoner’s Dairy Farm and Corn Maze offers weekend Fall activities. Normal weekend offerings include sea themed corn maze, hayride, petting zoo, pedal carts, corn cannon, scarecrow factory, food and more. Friday night (Sept. 29) is a Flashlight Night – $6 per person – from 7PM – 10PM.
NEWVILLE: Cross the Creek Farm offers Pick-Your-Own-Pumpkins priced by the size, not by pound.
CARLISLE: Warehime’s Pumpkin Patch has a large selection of pumpkins to purchase and also multi-colored sunflowers to pick.
MECHANICSBURG: Fall Harvest Days at Ashcombe Farm & Greenhouses continue Saturday, Sept. 30 from 9AM – 6PM & Sunday, Oct. 11AM – 4PM. Pick your own pumpkins, horse drawn hayrides, play area and more at 906 W. Grantham Road.
DILLSBURG: At Paulus Orchards you can celebrate fall harvest season on a farm. On Saturdays 9AM-6:30PM & Sundays 11AM-5PM, enjoy the 5 acre Corn Maze, Play Land, Wagon Ride around the orchard, pick-your-own apples, and enjoy the Pumpkin Patch. All day Weekend Farm Admission $9 (ages 3 and up). Seniors $5 (age 65+). Children 2 and under are free.
MANHEIM: The Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire is held on the grounds of the Mount Hope Estate. With over 90 stage shows daily, 22 Royal Kitchens and scores of artisan merchants with handcrafted wares, the Renaissance Faire invites guests to immerse themselves in the 35-acre village and experience the fantasy. Each weekend will showcase a unique theme. This weekend, September 30 – October 1: Oktoberfest.
