SHIPPENSBURG
Katie’s Place Thrift Shop is having its next monthly sale October 12 – 13 – 14 from 8AM – Noon. 50% off Everything! The store is located at the old Martin’s Bakery Building (go down the hill to the bottom of the building) at the corner of S. Penn and E. Garfield Streets.
The Southampton Township Cumberland County Park & Rec will be holding a 5K Harvest Hustle on October 14. Proceeds benefit the Shippensburg Kids Events Committee. Registration day of the event – $25. Race time is 10:30AM.
CHAMBERSBURG
Franklin County Historical Society is having a Murder Mystery: Murder at the Boarding House on October 13 & 14, 6PM – 10PM. Tour the Old Jail to meet suspects and solve the mystery. Tickets are sold at the door: $10 adults; $4 kids ages 6-12.
North Square Farmers Market is Saturday from 8AM until Noon. Local produce, craft and food vendors. Look for the market tents behind King Street Church!
Country Creek Produce Farm is home to The Oregon Trail corn maze and more family friendly Fall fun. The farm’s attractions include the corn maze, jump pad, peddle track, quad mountain slides, u-pick pumpkins, hayrides, animals, pumpkin cannon, and more. Night Maze Flashlight Nights will be happening Friday and Saturday Oct 13-14 weather permitting.
GREENCASTLE
The Apple Festival at Tayamentasachta Enviromental Center is October 14 from 9AM-3PM. The Apple Dumpling Gang will be making over 1000 dumplings for purchase. Tracey’s Orchard will have a delicious apple display. Local artisans, singing historian, antique tractors and engines, and horse and wagon rides. Local scouting troops will be on site making apple cider and breakfast sandwiches. The GAHS Art Club will be painting pumpkins and making scarecrows with the children. Benefit chicken BBQ by Michael’s BBQ from 11AM – 1PM.
MERCERSBURG
Stoner’s Dairy Farm and Corn Maze offers weekend Fall activities. Normal weekend offerings include sea themed corn maze, hayride, petting zoo, pedal carts, corn cannon, scarecrow factory, food and more. Friday night (Oct. 13) is a Flashlight Night – $6 per person – from 7PM – 10PM. Saturday, October 14 is the annual Cornhole tournament!
ARENDTSVILLE
The National Apple Harvest Festival will be held on October 14 & 15. The festival features 300 arts and crafts vendors, demonstrations, contests, food stands, and entertainment. The National Apple Harvest Festival is located at the South Mountain Fairgrounds & is held outdoors rain or shine. Ticket Info: General Admission is $10; Sr. Citizens, Veterans, Military $9; Children under 12 Free. The festival is open from 8AM to 6PM daily, rain or shine!

Saturday, October 14 is the Pumpkin Walk in Seven Valleys, PA. The Pumpkin Walk is a gentle, ½ mile walk at your own pace along a section of Heritage Rail Trail that has been decorated with lighted pumpkins and other fall decorations. $5 donation. Rain or Shine. Free snacks for children.

Celebrate Fall into Wolf Awareness Day at Wolf Sanctuary of PA on October 15. The event will feature self-guided tours, educational games and activities for children, face-painting, live music and more. Adults admission is $10, children 11 and younger are free.
Happy Hauntings, Dutch Wonderland Family Amusement Park, 2249 Lincoln Highway East, Lancaster will feature 30 themed non scary rides, special entertainment, and the Trick-or-Treat Trail – a safe, interactive trick-or-treating experience. Saturday (2-9PM) and Sunday (2-8PM), October 14-15.
The Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire is held on the grounds of the Mount Hope Estate. With over 90 stage shows daily, 22 Royal Kitchens and scores of artisan merchants with handcrafted wares, the Renaissance Faire invites guests to immerse themselves in the 35-acre village and experience the fantasy. HAGERSTOWN
On October 14th, EAA Chapter 36 is hosting a Fly-in, Drive-in Breakfast located at Hagerstown Regional Airport Firehouse next to main terminal. Free airplane rides for kids ages 8-17 from 9AM – Noon. Hagerstown Aviation Museum will be on hand with their Fairchild C-82 and C-119 cargo planes. All you can eat Breakfast, 8AM – 11AM. Adults $7, Children 6-12 $4, Under 6 FREE. Lunch 11AM – 1PM. Free parking for at the main terminal. All activities are weather permitting.
