IceFest 2018 | Chambersburg, PA
Icefest will be held January 25 – January 28, 2018 throughout downtown Chambersburg, PA. It will feature over 80 custom designed ice sculptures. Activities this year include the Double Wide Ice Slide, Snowfall Ball, Chili Cook-Off, Icing on the Cake, 5K Run & Kid’s Zone, Polar Dunk Plunge, and Frozen Flicks “Casablanca”. It is free to enjoy the ice sculptures though some activities do require a small fee. Food will also be available for purchase.

Carve Off at Courthouse Plaze (Thursday January 25 at 5:30PM) – This 30 minute Ice Carving event will kickoff the 16th annual IceFest! Jared McAlister (DiMartino Ice Company) will be competing against Danny Kissel. Danny Kissel is a self-taught artist from Newville who enjoys working with a wide variety of mediums including Ice, Wood, Sand and Pumpkins.
Live Glass Blowing Demonstrations (Friday January 26 at 5PM and Saturday January 27 at 10AM) – Come watch the artisans from Glass Routes create unique works of art from molten glass.
ArtFEST 2018 at the Old Jail – 2nd & King Street (Saturday January 27 9AM – 4:30PM) – Artists will donate their time and talents to create a piece of art in 8 hours. The art will be auctioned live at 4:30PM. All proceeds from this event will go to For the Kids of Chambersburg.
Emerging Choreographers’ Showcase at The Wood Center in the Capital Theatre (Friday January 26 at 7PM and Sunday January 28 at 7PM) – Performance of 5 original contemporary and balletic pieces by dancers of the CBT School’s performing company, plus a classical ballet piece for company trainees and junior dancers by Artistic Director Lavinia Reid. Tickets are $10 at the door.
