Shippensburg
At the Local Gathering on Friday, January 6 is an Evening of Christian Hip Hop with Rocky Nails, Cornelius Prather and Darryl Carpenter D.I.P. Admission is free. Music from 7PM – 10PM.
Katie’s Place Thrift Shop is having its next monthly sale January 4, 5 & 6 from 8AM – Noon. The store is located at the old Martin’s Bakery Building (go down the hill to the bottom of the building) at the corner of S. Penn and E. Garfield Streets in Shippensburg. All items Half Price!
Tiny World located at 6720 Rice Road is a miniature village whose tiny buildings are landscaped, lighted and furnished. Weather permitting, Tiny World is expected to be open and lighted through Saturday January 6 (5PM – 8PM). Admission is free, but donations are accepted to help keep the place up and running.
Roxbury
The Blue Mountain Skating Rink is open for public skating on Friday evenings from 7PM-9PM.
Chambersburg
The Cumberland Valley Model Railroad Club will be opening its doors on Sunday, January 7. The public is invited to see over 55 model trains running of all sizes – from the tiny T-scale up to the G-gauge set. This is a FREE event with plenty of parking. The clubhouse on 440 Nelson Street in Chambersburg will be open from Noon – 4PM.
J&B Bridal Show is this Sunday, January 7 at Wilson College. Doors open at 11:30AM. Wedding related businesses will be ready to help you with all of your wedding needs. Madeline Gardner will be showcasing her 2018 Mori Lee bridal collection with her NYC runway models. Tickets available here.
Greencastle
The Winter Bounce Festival with Phantom Shadow Entertainment is a fun family event for kids 12 and under. There will be inflatables, a DJ, games, mini -golf, food, and much more. Walk-ins welcome or you may want to book your own party area. Every Friday, Saturday, & Sunday in January & February 2018. Friday Hours 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM; Saturday Hours 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM; Sunday Hours 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM. Ages 12 and under $10 — Ages 2 and Under $5.
Harrisburg
The 102nd Pennsylvania Farm Show will take place from January 6-13, 2018. The annual Farm Show boasts over 6,000 animals, hundreds of exhibitors and vendors, hundreds of contests and demonstrations, and one 1,000-pound butter sculpture. The show will be held in the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex & Expo Center, North Cameron and Maclay Streets, Harrisburg. Admission to the Farm Show is free, however there is an extra charge for the Butterfly House, Tractor ride, Merry-go-round, Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association Rodeos, food and vendor purchases.
