Here’s a list of family friendly opportunities to get out and about this weekend in Shippensburg and Beyond!

Shippensburg

Dutch Country Store will be celebrating their anniversary on Friday, February 23 and Saturday, February 24.  Free Coffee and Refreshments. 10% off storewide! Located at 10 Mooney Road, Shippensburg (near Walnut Bottom, off Stoughstown Road).

Craft Night at The Local Gathering is Friday February 23 at 7PM.  The evening’s craft will be Twine Wrapping Monin Bottles.

The Shippensburg Historical Society will be holding a World War I Sewing Seminar on Saturday, Feb. 24. Admission is $5 for non-members and $3 for members, with each participant receiving a pair of needles, skein of yarn, and a type of WWI pattern. All are welcome! Studio Z Cardio Fitness Club is bringing amazing health and wellness service providers together for a Spa & Wellness Event on Saturday, February 24, 2018 from 11AM – 2PM. The event will spotlight locally owned and operated small businesses that provide all natural products & services.  Studio Z is located at 238 S Fayette St.

Book Nook at the Shippensburg Public Library has all hardback books buy one get one free in February.

The Southampton Township Cumberland County (STCC) Park and Rec is hosting a Bridal Garage Sale!  On Sunday, February 25 shop the bridal garage sale from 1PM – 4PM at the STCC Multipurpose Center at 56 Cleversburg Road, Shippensburg.  FREE admission.

Roxbury

The Blue Mountain Skating Rink is located 1 mile west of Roxbury, PA on Rt 641.  The roller skating rink is open for public skating on Friday evenings from 7-9 PM.

Chambersburg

The CAMS South Drama Club is proud to present Disney’s The Lion King JR. this weekend.  The 60-minute musical, designed for middle-school aged performers, is based on the Broadway show and the 1994 Disney film.  Tickets are $8. To place your ticket order, please contact Miss White at:

The Franklin County Builders Association’s 35th Annual Franklin County Builder Show will be held February 23 – 25, 2018 at the Chambersburg Mall. The event will help you find all the services you need to build, landscape or renovate a home.

Greencastle

The Winter Bounce Festival with Phantom Shadow Entertainment is a fun family event for kids 12 and under. There will be inflatables, a DJ, games, mini -golf, food, and much more.  Walk-ins welcome or you may want to book your own party area.  Every Friday, Saturday, & Sunday at Green Grove Gardens in February 2018.  Friday Hours 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM; Saturday Hours 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM; Sunday Hours 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM.

Carlisle

This event is sold out!  Come to RC Theatres Carlisle Commons on Saturday, February 24 from 10AM to Noon wearing PJs, a Onesie or a Snuggie and pay $5 admission to any regular movie AND get free popcorn.  The following movies are available for $5:  Peter Rabbit, Black Panther, Jumanju, and Greatest Showman.  Buy your tickets in advance HERE to skip the box office line.

Gettysburg

Hershey

Zoo America has $6 Fridays where all visitors get in for $6 every Friday during the winter through March 2018.

Join the Hershey’s Characters and Hersheypark Band on Saturdays and Sundays in February as they perform and parade through Hershey’s Chocolate World Attraction.  Admission is free and great for all ages!  February 24-25 at 2:30PM.
