Thursday, Oct. 18
PROVIDENCE PLACE SENIOR LIVING: Providence Place Retirement Community, 2085 Wayne Road, Chambersburg welcomes children (age 0-12) to Trick or Treat on Thursday, October 18 from 6PM – 7PM! Bring your children in costumes.
PRINCE STREET CHURCH: There will be a Trunk or Treat Parking Lot Festival at Prince Street Church, 20 N. Prince Street, Shippensburg on Thursday, October 18 from 6-7:30PM. Games/activities for kids and Trunk or Treat. This is a free event for the community. Costumes are welcome, but not required.
Saturday, Oct. 20
DOWNTOWN CARLISLE: Georgie Lou’s Retro Candy and Amani Festival of Carlisle are joining forces to bring Spooky Saturday to downtown Carlisle on October 20, 2018, from NOON-3PM. Children 12 and under are invited to come downtown for a day of daylight trick-or-treating, crafts, and games at participating businesses located on the event map while families discover the unique businesses and organizations that call downtown home. Maps of participating locations will be available on the day of the event at a location yet to be announced.
MISTER ED’S ELEPHANT MUSEUM: Mister Ed’s Elephant Museum and Candy Emporium hosts its annual FREE Great Pumpkin Party Saturday, Oct. 20, from Noon-4PM. Children can paint pumpkins to take home free-of-charge. Children who wear their Halloween costumes will get a trick-or-treat bag to fill with loose candy. Throughout the event, acclaimed artist Michael Allison will carve giant pumpkins that will be raffled to benefit the Adams County SPCA.
WAYNESBORO AREA YMCA FUN DAY & TRUNK OR TREAT: On October 20, Noon – 5PM check out YMCA’s Fun Day. The afternoon features fall festivities and free admission to the Y. Noon – 2PM Open House, Pool & Gym, Hotdogs, Ice Cream & Fall treats. 3PM – 5PM Trunk or Treat.
Monday, Oct. 22
WONDERLAND OF WAYNESBORO: Wonderland will be hosting a Halloween Party on Monday, October 22, 4PM – 8PM. Spooky Games, Creepy Crafts, Scary Activities and a Frightening Fun Costume Contest for all ages. Trunk or Treat Contest from 4PM to 6PM. This event is $10 per child 1 and over (3 tickets $25), children under 1 and parents are free with admission.
SHIPPENSBURG UNIVERSITY: Treats no Tricks at Shippensburg University will be held Monday, October 22 in front of Old Main from 5PM -6:30PM. This event is free and open to the community! Treats no Tricks is a Halloween Carnival that is geared towards providing a safe and fun interactive place for children up to 12 years of age to come in costume to play games and other activities and collect candy and other treats. Parking for the event will be located behind Old Main. Rain location is Ship Rec.
Wednesday, Oct. 24
CHAMBERSBURG MALL: Mall Wide Trick-or-Treat Night is October 24 beginning at 6PM – 8PM. A Costume Contest at 7:30PM. Age groups are Newborn to 4 yrs, 5 yrs to 8 yrs, 9 yrs to 12 yrs.
GRAND POINT CHURCH: Grand Point Church, Chambersburg is hosting a Fall Fun Night on October 24, 7-8PM. All children Grade 5 and younger are welcome to participate and must be accompanied by an adult. Fun kid/family friendly costumes are encouraged. The fun includes trunk or treating (including Teal Pumpkin Project vehicles), music, outdoor movie, “It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown,” and more!
STONER’S DAIRY FARM (Trick or Treat in the Corn Maze): Wednesday October 24 from 6PM to 8PM. (Rain date: 10/25) Trick or Treat is for children ages 10 years old and younger. It is limited to the first 300 children, or while supplies last. Admission is free. Hayrides $2.
Friday, October 26
SHIPPENSBURG HISTORICAL SOCIETY: Shippensburg Historical Society is offering a Kids Trick or Treat on Friday, October 26 from 6PM-8PM. Visitors will take a tour of the Stewart House and get some sweet goodies along the way. Admission is FREE.
Saturday, October 27
TARGET: On Saturday, October 27 from 10AM-1PM, you can head to Target for a Paw Patrol Trick-or-Treat Halloween Event! Bring your kids in costume where they will be able to trick-or-treat at stations throughout the store. They will also be treated to an exclusive episode of “PAW Patrol.”
THE OUTLET SHOPPES AT GETTYSBURG: Trick or Treat on Saturday, October 27 at the Outlet Shoppes at Gettysburg from 1 – 4PM, rain or shine. Stilt Walker on Main Street! Meet Catboy Mascot, from PJ Masks & Poppy Mascot from Trolls in the Food Court with a Pirate Balloon Artist! *Stilt Walker may be moved if inclement weather.

KID’S HALLOWEEN TRICK OR TREAT: Join Creative Minds Learning & Development Centers, 29 Springhouse Road, Shippensburg on October 29, 6:30 – 8PM for a not so scary trick or treat night full of fun, treats, music and more. All are welcome and encouraged to dress in your best family friendly costume.

FALL FEST WITH TRUNK OR TREAT: Shippensburg Community Parks & Recreation Authority including Southampton Township Franklin County & Shippensburg Borough will be having a Fall Fest on Tuesday, October 30 from 6PM – 7:30PM at Veteran’s Stadium Memorial Park. This is a free community event & social gathering which includes candy for Trunk or Treat and family fun activities. Photo booth, costume contest, first responders, free coffee/hot chocolate.
Wednesday, Oct. 31
Mongul United Brethren Church’s LIGHT IN THE NIGHT: The 10th annual Light In the Night is October 31 at 6PM-8 PM at Mongul Church’s 2nd campus, 593 Walnut Bottom Road, Shippensburg. A safe and well-lit alternative to trick-or-treating with music, inflatables, hay maze, games & activities, emergency vehicles, food and candy. Family friendly costumes welcome. Non-food treats (Teal Pumpkin table) will be available for those with food allergies. This is a free event.
TRUNK OR TREAT: The South Mountain Chapel, 11 Chestnut Grove Road, Shippensburg is hosting Trunk or Treat on October 31 from 6:30PM – 8PM. A fun and sweet evening with your family and friends! See birds, reptiles and insects up close with Creatures Great and Small. Enjoy s’mores, hayrides, contests and more.
CHIPOTLE: Visit any Chipotle in costume and get a burrito, bowl, salad or order of tacos for just $4 on Halloween night, October 31, from 3PM to close. Limit one per person. Customers can also receive the same deal through the Chipotle app or online (for both pickup and delivery) by using the promo code “BOORITO.”
AROOGA’S: Kids eat free when dressed in costume on Halloween! Offer only valid on October 31. Kids 12 & under in costume get one free item from kids menu with purchase of adult entree. Saturday, November 3
DOWNTOWN CHAMBERSBURG: Trick or Treat with downtown Chambersburg Merchants during Trick or Treat on Main – Saturday, October 27 from 11AM – 1PM. Postponed! Due to the weather forecast on Saturday, Trick-or-Treat on Main will be postponed until Saturday, November 3, 11AM – 1PM. There will also be a costume contest at 1PM on the square.
RED RUN PARK: Halloween on the Red Run Express is Saturday, October 27 Postponed until November 3. The event will include a costume parade at 4PM, followed by train and fire truck rides from 4:30 to 6:30PM. The event is free for all ages. Red Run Park, 12143 Buchanan Trail East, Waynesboro, PA.
Trick or Treat at Area Attractions
HERSHEYPARK IN THE DARK: Visit Hersheypark in the Dark Fridays through Sundays from October 19 – November 4. Highlights include: 13 Coasters, enjoy lights off on four coasters (Laff Trakk, Wildcat, Comet, and Lightning Racer), kids 12 and younger dress up and enjoy 13 stops on their trick-or-treat trail, and after dark, bring your flashlight for a tour of Creatures Of The Night at ZooAmerica. HERSHEY GARDEN’S PUMPKIN GLOW: Hershey Garden’s Pumpkin Glow – October 19 & 20 and October 26 & 28, 6PM – 8:30PM. During Hershey Garden’s Pumpkin Glow, the gardens pathways will be lined with more than 150 carved, illuminated and themed pumpkins. Kids ages 12 and younger are invited to bring a flashlight and come in costume while trick-or-treating at eight candy stops throughout the Gardens. TURKEY HILL EXPERIENCE: The Turkey Hill Experience Trick or Treat takes place on four dates – October 20, 21, 27, and 28 from 2-4PM. There are a total of 13 trick or treat stops and 6 of those stops are free while the others do require admission into the paid portion of the Experience. Wear your favorite Halloween costume.
DUTCH WONDERLAND: Happy Haunting will feature 30 themed non scary rides, special entertainment, and the Trick-or-Treat Trail – a safe, interactive trick-or-treating experience. Dates and Times: Saturdays (2-9PM) and Sundays (2-8PM), October 13-28, 2018.
