Live Nativities in South Central PA in December

Ship Saves has compiled a list of local living nativities in December for you to enjoy.
Newville
Doubling Gap Church of God, 50 McCrea Rd, Newville is presenting a free live drive-thru nativity on December 6 & 7 from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM. The Doubling Gap Church of God is located 6 miles North of Newville, off Route 233. Turn right at Ginter’s Feed Mill onto McCrea Road. Then go one quarter mile to church on left.
Newville
Southview Fairview 1st Church of God will present a live nativity on two evenings – Saturday, December 7 and Sunday, December 8. From 6PM-8PM, journey back in time to witness the miracle of Jesus’ birth. Start in the Bethlehem marketplace and sample food from biblical times. Then travel with the wise men to see the events surrounding Jesus’ birth. This is an outside event hosted at the church, so please dress for the weather. Southview Fairview 1st Church of God is located at 1212 Centerville Rd, Newville.
Carlisle
Middlesex United Methodist Church will be hosting their annual Hayride to Bethlehem on Friday, December 6 from 6PM to 9PM and Saturday, December 7 from 4:30PM to 8PM. Bring your blanket and jump on board a hay wagon for a 40 minute ride through several scenes of the Christmas story. Along the way enjoy interactive actors, musicians, and animals. After the ride, enjoy a cup of hot chocolate and cookies. Hayride to Bethlehem is FREE and everyone is invited.
Chambersburg
The Presbyterian Church of Falling Spring, located at 221 North Main Street, will be welcoming all to enjoy a living creche on their front lawn on Friday, December 6 from 6-7PM. The living creche will feature live animals, Christmas scriptures, and seasonal music. There will also be hot chocolate available and fire pits to warm your hands over.
Chambersburg
Chambersburg Church of the Brethren is presenting a Drive Thru Live Nativity in the church parking lot on Saturday, December 14 from 5:30-7:30PM. The event address is 260 S. Fourth Street, Chambersburg. This ministry will include live animals, biblical cast members, music, carolers, snacks, and much more! Enter Elm Avenue via S 4th Street. You will be directed into the lot to view the nativity. You will then continue through the lot and exit to Elm and onto 6th Street to get you home.
Greencastle
Hurley Auctions will host their annual live nativity on Friday, December 6 from 6PM – 9PM. The event will take place at the Hurley Auctions building located at 2800 Buchanan Trail East, Greencastle. The evening includes live animals, manger scene with wise men, choir, and hot chocolate. The event is open to the public of all ages and FREE of charge. Donations of nonperishable food items will be accepted to be donated to local food banks.
Ortanna
This Christmas enjoy a live nativity telling of the birth of Jesus in the open air. The four nights before Christmas (December 21 – December 24, 2019) see a Live Nativity at Mountain Top Ministries from 6PM – 8PM each evening. You may drive through or park. All live actors, many animals, hot chocolate and cookies, carolers. The Christmas Eve service is at 8:30PM following the Live Nativity. The nativity is located at 200 Church Road in Buchanan Valley (between Gettysburg & Chambersburg on Church Road off Rt. 30 and Rt. 234).
