Take A Holiday Tour of Kings Gap’s Mountain Mansion
Holiday Open House – updated for 2019
The Friends of Kings Gap holds their Holiday Open House event on the first two Sundays of December from Noon-4PM. This year visit on December 1 or December 8 to take a self-guided tour through the castle-like estate, fully decorated for the Christmas holiday.
The 32-room house was designed to resemble an Italian villa with its flat roof, huge windows and flagstone terrace.
Musical entertainment will be provided by Celtic harpist Patricia Putz on December 1 and Joanna Roberts playing cello on December 8. Light refreshments including hot spiced cider and cookies will be offered throughout the afternoon. All ages are welcome to attend this free event.
Kings Gap is operated by the Pennsylvania Bureau of State Parks, part of the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources. Kings Gap Environmental Education Center is located at 500 Kings Gap Road, Carlisle.
