Shippensburg Reading Rainbow event to be held on March 2
The annual Reading Rainbow event sponsored by the Shippensburg Kids Events Committee will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2019. The event will take place at the Shippensburg Firefighters Activity Center, 33 West Orange Street from 8:15AM – 12:30PM. Admission is FREE!
There will be fun activities suitable for children in PreK through 5th grade. Activities include face painting, giant inflatable, guest readers, caricatures by Kent Roberts, live music, Clifford the Big Red Dog, a Scholastic Book Fair, a Jedi Training Demo and more! The first 200 children will receive a free book. There will be door prizes too!
Event Schedule:
8:15AM: Shippensburg Middle School 6th Grade Jazz Band
9:15AM: Guest Readers
10:15AM: American Tiger School of Martial Arts
11:45AM: Guest Readers
Food and drinks will be available for purchase.
All proceeds benefit the Shippensburg Elementary and Intermediate School Libraries.
