Celebrate George Washington’s Birthday on President’s Day and visit Mount Vernon for free – adult admission price is regularly $20!
On Monday, February 18, 2019 Mount Vernon will have free admission and special events. Witness a presidential tribute featuring honored guests and a wreath-laying at the Washington’s Tomb. Listen to George Washington and esteemed speakers during the Official Observance Ceremony of George Washington’s Birthday on the east lawn. Watch Continental soldiers conduct a marching drill, fire their guns, and charge at their enemy in an exciting military demonstration on the bowling green. Click here to see the full schedule.
Mt. Vernon tours include the Mansion, outbuildings, gardens and grounds, heritage breed animals, Pioneer Farm, and more.
Mount Vernon will also offer free admission and special programming on February 22, George Washington’s actual birthday.
