Saturday, April 3, 2022 ROUZERVILLE
Mason-Dixon Council (MDC) of Boy Scouts of America hosts a free fishing derby on Sunday, April 3, from 11 AM – 4 PM at Red Run Park. There will be free food, fishing (in a stocked pond), games, and activities. Units from MDC will have stations set up for youth to complete activities. In addition, they will have information about meeting dates and times for Cub Scouting.
Saturday, April 9, 2022 ROUZERVILLE
Rouzerville Fish and Game Association’s Fishing Rodeo takes place at Red Run Park on Saturday, April 9, 8 AM. Red Run Lake is closed Friday, April 8, for fish stocking. Registration is one hour prior. This free event with prizes is open to all youth ages 3-15. The rain date is April 10.
Saturday, April 23, 2022 ROXBURY
Shippensburg Fly Fishing Club hosts their Children’s Fishing Derby on April 23 from 8 AM-Noon at Lurgan Township Lions Club in Roxbury. Registration starts at 7 AM. All children ages 3 – 15 are welcome to participate in this free event. Donations are accepted. Prizes will be awarded for tagged fish caught and turned in before noon. Food and refreshments will be available for purchase. Restrooms will be available too. The rain date is April 30. Lurgan Township Lions Club is located at 13978 Cumberland Hwy in Roxbury.
Saturday, April 30, 2022 MT. HOLLY
Mount Holly Springs, Holly Fish & Game Association, and Mt. Holly Lions Club hold their annual Children’s Trout Derby, 7 AM to 11 AM Saturday, April 30, at the Mt. Holly Fish & Game Pond. The derby is open to children ages 3 to 12. Admission is free. This event is rain or shine.
