Thursday, July 4, 2019
PA Fish for FREE day is July 4! Fish for Free Days allow residents and non-residents to legally fish on Pennsylvania waterways on the designated days with no fishing license required.
The Shippensburg Memorial Park Pool is open July 4 from Noon – 5PM. Pool admission will be only $3!
Friday, July 5, 2019
On Friday from 4:30 – 7PM head to the Shippensburg Station for food trucks (Uncle Eddie’s BBQ and Gettysburg’s Taco Trap House), a beer tent (Appalachian Brewing Company), and live music from Mitch Burrows.
Christ United Methodist Church’s First Friday Family Event on July 5 is “building.” Families will have fun building with a variety of items from 6-8PM.
The Shippensburg Memorial Park Pool opens Noon – 7PM on Friday at a discounted rate of $3.
Shippensburg Community Parks and Recreation Authority will be hosting Shippensburg’s Fireworks Display on July 5 at Veterans Stadium at Shippensburg Memorial Park. Veterans Stadium gates will open at 5PM for spectators to set up chairs or blankets to watch the firework show.

9PM – Annual Candy Scramble (Ages: 5 – 13)
9:30PM – Firework Display
On Friday, July 5, a Truck and Tractor Pull will be held at the Shippensburg Fairgrounds. The Truck and Tractor pull starts at 7PM and features Pro Stock Diesel FWD Trucks, Limited Pro Stock Tractors, Limited Pro Stock Semis, and Super Stock/Pro Stock Tractors. Bring your lawn chairs. Admission: $15; Children (5-10) $8.
Saturday, July 6, 2019
On Saturday, July 6, Noon – 7PM, the Memorial Park Pool will offer $3 admission and host games/contests throughout the day during an Independence Day Party.
On Saturday, July 6 there is a Truck and Tractor Pull at 7PM at the Shippensburg Fairgrounds. This evening will feature Four Wheel Drive, Limited Pro Stock Tractors, Limited Pro Stock Semis, and Super Stock/Pro Stock Tractors. Bring your lawn chairs. Admission: $15; Children (5-10) $8.
Shippensburg Community Parks and Recreation Authority is showing an outdoor movie on July 6 at dusk. On Saturday evening, head to the Memorial Park (next to the pool) for the free movie, “Dumbo” at approximately 8:45PM.
