Shippensburg
Central PA Chainsaw Carvers Festival – April 15, 16, and 17: Central PA’s first annual Chainsaw Carvers Festival will be held on April 15, 16, and 17, 2021, at Shippensburg Fairgrounds. This event is presented by the Shippensburg Area Chamber of Commerce, RE/MAX Prestige, and Volvo Construction Equipment and will feature the top professional chainsaw carving artists from all over the U.S. with carvings for sale, carving competition, ax throwing, sculpture auction, food trucks, and more! Bring the entire family and see what all the buzz is about! The festival’s hours on April 15 will be 4 PM to 8 PM, April 16, 11 AM to 8 PM, and April 17, 11 AM to 8 PM. Advance ticket pricing: $5/person per day, $12 -Full Event Pass, $40 – Full Event (Family of 4), under age 6 -FREE. Parking is $2. Day-of tickets will be an additional $5 over the advance ticket price. Parking is $2/car. The Shippensburg Fairground is located at 10131 Possum Hollow Rd, Shippensburg, PA.
Smith’s Chicken BBQ – April 18: A Smith’s Chicken BBQ, Car Wash, and Bake Sale will be held on Sunday, April 18 at H&H Chevrolet from 11 AM to 1:30 PM. This is a fundraiser for the Shippensburg Greyhound Football team.
Donuts – April 17: Long’s Family Catering & Donuts will be in Shippensburg at the West End Office Complex (across from Pizza Hut) on Saturday morning, April 17, 7 AM to 11 AM. Please preorder by 6 PM Friday by text 717 552 7495. White Cream Filled (Powdered or Choc dipped), Chocolate Dipped with Sprinkles, Glazed, Powdered, or Cinnamon Sugar. Glazed, powdered or cinnamon sugar holes.
Roxbury
Spring Fling Craft & Vendor Show – April 17: There will be a Spring Fling Craft & Vendor Show on April 17 at the Roxbury Lions Club. The event has free admission, and you can shop the vendors (craft/food/gifts) from 8 AM to 2 PM.
Roller Skating – April 16: There is public skating at the Blue Mountain Skating Rink on Friday evenings from 7-9 PM. $4 admission and $1 skates. Children under 6 are free and non-skating adults are free as well. All First Responders, Military, and Law Enforcement workers and their families get in for FREE on April 16. The Blue Mountain Skating Rink is located 1 mile west of Roxbury, PA on Rt 641.
Newville/Carlisle
Spring Fest – April 17: Meadowbrooke Gourds (maker of hand-crafted gourds) hosts a Spring Fest on April 17 from 10 AM – 4 PM with food, creating your own birdhouse, arts, and craft vendors. There will be a gourd egg hunt for ticket holders (sold out). Upper Frankford Fire Company will be there with one of their fire trucks too.
Drive-In Theatre – April 16 and April 17: The Cumberland Drive-In Theatre is now open on weekends. Admission: $10 Adults, $4 Children ages 3-12, free for Children Under 3. The Cumberland Drive-in Theatre is located in Newville, just off Interstate 81 at 3290 Ritner Highway. Showing April 16 & 17- Tom and Jerry / Godzilla vs. Kong

Fabric Fair – April 15, 16, 17, 22, 23, and 24: 
The Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary will host its 29th annual fabric fair at the Chambersburg Mall (enter at Corridor A) on two weekends – April 15-17 and April 22-24. In past years, the sale included all types of fabric off the bolt, by the piece, or by the bag; quilting supplies; sewing machines, sewing notions, patterns, and “how-to” books; knitting/crocheting yarn and supplies; needlework supplies; craft items; dolls and accessories; linens, window treatments and so much more.
Food Truck Festival – April 18: Downtown Chambersburg will be hosting a Food Truck Festival on Sunday, April 18, 11 AM to 3 PM. There will be at least 20 vendors spread throughout the downtown in various parking lots! So far, Jenni’s Knife and Spork, Eat Lotus Bowls, Laughing Crab, Taste of Reggae, Rollz on Wheelz, Farm Show Milkshakes, Shuman’s Concessions, Uncle Eddie’s BBQ, Phillips Pizza and Cheese Steaks, Italian Job Food Truck, Cold Spring Hollow Distillery, Bentwood BBQ, The Hog Trough BBQ, Pully Wissle Provisions, Lake House Distilling Co., Fat Russ BBQ, Edward’s Kettle Corn, Chameleon 1648 and Lizzy’s are confirmed.

Everything Butterflies – April 17: On Saturday, April 17, from 10 AM – 4 PM, Taylor’s Greenhouse is hosting an event, Everything Butterflies featuring Folk’s Butterfly Farm and their walk-in flight house full of live butterflies. The cost is $3.00 per person if you wish to enter the flight house and interact with the butterflies.
Hershey
Hershey Park’s Springtime in the Park – April 17 and 18: Springtime In The Park is open on weekends during April. The spring season opening occurs over four weekends through the end of April, with over 40 rides open at the park.
