Ascension Day | May 13, 2021 | Many Amish owned businesses closed

Thursday, May 13, 2021, is Ascension Day. This religious holiday is forty days after Easter and always on a Thursday, a day set aside to celebrate Christ’s ascension into heaven. The Amish celebrate by closing their businesses and spend time with friends and family.

Amish-owned businesses that will be closed on Thursday, May 13, include Lurgan Greenhouse, Maplewood Farm Market, Dutch Country Store, and BB’s Grocery Outlet.
