Shippensburg
First Assembly of God (420 Baltimore Road) has an Easter Egg-stravaganza event on Saturday, April 16, from Noon to 2 PM. There will be age-appropriate egg hunts, a petting zoo, and a bouncy house. The church is also hosting a Spring Craft and Vendor Fair that day with over 50 vendors from 8 AM to 2 PM.
The Shippensburg History Center at 52 W. King Street hosts their first Easter Egg Hunt and family day on April 16, from Noon to 3 PM. Families can play historical games and view the free exhibits. Hands-On History will be on display too. Easter Egg Hunt begins at 1 PM. This event is free, but donations are encouraged.
Newburg
The Newburg-Hopewell Fire Police will have an Easter Drive-Thru Event in the parking lot of Newburg First Church of God (260 Newburg Rd) on Saturday, April 16, from 1:30 PM to 3 PM. Stop by for free Easter goodies and see the Easter Bunny.
Chambersburg
West Side Brethren In Christ Church, 2665 Lincoln Way West, Chambersburg, hosts their annual Easter Egg Hunt on April 16, beginning at 11 AM. All children and teens are invited. Over 6500+ eggs are prepared! There will also be prizes, free hot dogs, snacks, and beverages. The rain date is April 23 at 11 AM.
Bethel AG Church (400 Miller Street) will host an Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 16, at 11 AM. There will be free prizes and candy for children 12 and under.
The Keystone Chainsaw Carving & Vendor Event will be held April 13-16, 2022, at the Cumberland Valley Steam and Tractor Show Grounds, 1501 Criders Church Road, Chambersburg, PA (near Twin Bridge Campground). There is free admission. The event features chainsaw carvers, vendors, food trucks, a carnival, and more.

The auction for chainsaw carvings will be held on the last day, Saturday, April 16, at Noon. A portion of the proceeds from the auction benefit veterans and first responders. Helicopter rides will be available weather permitting on Friday and Saturday, beginning at 11 AM.
Fayetteville
South Mountain Bible Church (11275 S. Mountain Road) hosts a Community Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 16, at 10 AM. The event for children 12 and under will begin in the gym with a special Easter presentation. Then, children will be divided into three age groups to hunt for eggs filled with candy or special prizes.
Freedom in Christ Church is hosting Easter Eggstravaganza at Norlo Park (first pavilion), 3050 Lincoln Way East, Fayetteville, on April 16 at 10:30 AM. They will have storytime, an egg hunt for children up to 12, and prize eggs. Please remember to bring a bag or bucket for collecting eggs.
Orrstown
Orrstown United Brethren Chruch (3689 Orrtown Road) is hosting an Easter Egg Hunt on April 16 at 10 AM. Please bring your own basket.
Lurgan Greenhouse will have homemade baked goods on Saturday, April 16. Chicken barbeque will be available next weekend beginning April 22. Lurgan Greenhouse is closed on Good Friday, April 15. Lurgan Greenhouse, 8126 Oakdale Rd, Orrstown, is open year-round. Hours are weekdays, 8 AM to 6 PM, and Saturday, 8 AM to 5 PM. Closed Sundays. Cash or Check only.
Roxbury
Blue Mountain Skating Rink hosts a Skate with the Easter Bunny on Friday evening, April 15, from 7 – 9 PM. So bring the family out for a fun night of skating with the Easter Bunny! Admission is $4, and skate rental is $1. Children under 6 are free and non-skating adults are free as well.
The Lurgan Township Lions Club will be hosting their annual Easter Egg hunt for ages 12 and under on Saturday, April 16, starting at 1 PM. Prizes will be awarded along with family-friendly events.
Biglerville
Hollabaugh Brothers Fruit Farm and Market are excited to invite families to the farm for their annual Hop Along the Bunny Trail event on Saturday, April 16, 10 AM- 1 PM. Registration is required for the apple orchard egg hunt. Easter egg hunts in the orchard run every 20 minutes, beginning at 10 AM and ending at 12:40 PM. Children are encouraged to bring their baskets. This event will be held rain or shine. The recommended age is 0 – 8 (however, they are flexible). The cost is $8 per child and includes a free wagon ride. In addition, one adult rides free per participating child. Extra wagon ride tickets are $2. Hop Along the Bunny Trail includes photo opportunities with the Easter Bunny and Easter-themed scavenger hunt, a “Fairy Tale Trail” walking story, lawn games, wagon rides, and a free kids’ ice cream. Newville
Join the Green Spring First Church of God (1140 Greenspring Road, Newville) for an Easter Scavenger Hunt for children aged 12 and under. The event is Saturday, April 16, between 1 PM – 2:30 PM (drop by any time between those hours). Upon arrival, each child will receive a scavenger hunt card. Families will then walk through stations, looking for the scavenger hunt items. Snacks and drinks will be available. Children will receive an Easter Goodie Bag filled with various candy, non-candy treats, and prizes.
This year, the American Legion will be holding the Newville Community Easter Egg Hunt at the Newville Little League ball fields. The event on April 16 is open to area children ages newborn to 10 years old. The Easter Bunny will be arriving at Noon to kick off the event.
Carlisle
There is an Easter Egg Hunt for ages birth through 5th grade on Saturday, April 16, 10 AM-Noon at Carlisle United Methodist Church (333 S Spring Garden St). There will be egg hunts, crafts, games, snacks, and an appearance by the Easter Bunny! Register HERE. The Carlisle First Church of God will host an Easter Egg Hunt this Saturday, April 16 from 11 AM to Noon for children up to 5th grade. The church is located at 705 Glendale Street, Carlisle.
Kings Gap Environmental Education Center (500 Kings Gap Road, Carlisle) will host an Easter Sunrise Service on Sunday, April 17 at 7 AM. Meet on the mansion lawn. This event is held rain, shine, or snow.
Mercersburg
The Mercersburg Community Downtown Egg Walk & Scavenger Hunt is Saturday, April 16, from Noon to 2 PM. Participating businesses will have Easter eggs and clue sheets in front of their stores. Explore downtown while you fill your Easter Basket and find answers to the Scavenger Hunt Clues. Drop your answer sheet at One North Coffee & Bake Shop by 4 PM to be entered to win a prize drawing.
The 91st Annual Mercersburg Lions Club Easter Egg Hunt is Saturday, April 16 at 2 PM. The hunt is at Lions Club Community Park, South Park Street, Mercersburg. The age groups include 3 and younger, 4 to 6, and 7 to 12.
Waynesboro
Zullinger Community Center will be holding its annual Easter Egg Hunt on April 16 at 11 AM. Children will be released by age groups in five-minute increments, starting with two and under. The Easter Bunny will be making an appearance too. Refreshments and goodies for children (while supplies last). Zullinger Community Center is located at 4569 Buchanan Trail East in Waynesboro, PA
“Hop Into Learning’ Provider StoryWalk Day is Saturday, April 16, from 10 AM to Noon. Walk along Main Street in Waynesboro as you read a story in the shop windows.
Brothers of the Brush is hosting an Easter Egg Hunt at the Renfrew Park at the barn on April 16, starting promptly at 1 PM for ages 0 – 12 years.
Greencastle
Greencastle Lions Club will host a Community Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 16, at Tayamentasachta Environmental Center, beginning at 1:00 PM for children up to age 12. Each child will receive a coupon from McDonalds and Mikies Ice Cream. Please bring your basket.
Shady Grove Ruritan is sponsoring an Easter Egg Hunt for children 12 and under on Saturday, April 16 at 10 AM at the Shady Grove Community Center, 2100 Buchanan Trail E, Greencastle.
Peckin Thyme Farms invites you to its first annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 16, 2022, from 11 AM to 3 PM at Upton Community Center, 8978 Kuhn Rd, Greencastle. The Easter event includes thousands of eggs for all ages to hunt, grand prizes for each age group, photo booth opportunities, food, games, and crafts. The suggested donation is $5/child but no one will be turned away. In addition, there will be special appearances by the Easter Bunny. You may also visit the “Bunny Trail” to see some available bunnies for adoption.
Mechanicsburg
Mechanicsburg’s Earth Day Festival in downtown Mechanicsburg is on April 16 from 9 AM to 3 PM. The event features Music, Discussions, Vendors, and Kids’ Activities throughout the town. Check out the Event map to locate events.
Halifax
Lake Tobias offers a drive-thru safari tour on select weekends in April. Visitors are invited to stay in their own vehicles as they drive through the safari field and see the animals. Take a tour of the safari fields between 10 AM and 3 PM on April 9 & 10, 16, 23 & 24, 2022. The price of the pre-season drive-thru is $8 per person ages three and up. Admission to the park is not an option as the zoo’s exhibits are open for the season on May 1, 2022. Read more about the event on the Lake Tobias website HERE. Lake Tobias Wildlife Park is located at 760 Tobias Drive in Halifax, just off Route 225 in central Pennsylvania near Fisherville.
Hershey
Hersheypark Springtime in the Park features 40 rides, entertainment, games, and food on three weekends, April 2-3, 9-10 & April 15-17. Hours are 11 AM to 7 PM. Note: Hershey Park is now a cashless venue. All major credit cards, Hersheypark gift cards, Apple Pay, Samsung Pay, and Google Pay will be accepted. For ticket prices, go here. Tickets to the park also include access to ZooAmerica North American Wildlife Park. Springtime in the Park parking fee is $20 for regular passenger vehicles purchased online or $25 in person at the parking booth.
