Bloom Festival
The Shippensburg Area Chamber of Commerce hosts the 7th annual Bloom Festival in Shippensburg on June 11, from 9 AM – 3 PM. The festival takes place rain or shine in the parking lot of the Shippensburg Firefighters Activity Center, 33 W. Orange St., Shippensburg. Admission is free. The festival includes craft, retail, & food vendors, plant & flower sales, music, children’s activities, and more!
Sidewalk Chalk Art
Shippensburg Downtown Organizations Investing Together (DOIT) will host a sidewalk chalk art contest from 8 AM to 11 AM in tandem with the Bloom Festival. Go here for the details.
Duck Derby
Also, on this day, the Coy Public Library Duck Derby will be held at Noon at the Branch Creek Bridge. Ducks can be purchased at the library circulation desk through June 11 at 11:45 AM. Ducks can also be purchased during the Bloom Festival at the library table. Please note that you will be issued numbers corresponding to the ducks, not the actual rubber ducks themselves. One duck for $5 and five ducks for $20. Cash prizes will be awarded to the top 3 finishers!
