Train Rides at Norlo Park return for the 2022 Season
The Cumberland Valley Chapter of the National Railroad Historical Society (NRHS) will resume the summer train rides, one of Guilford Township Norlo Park’s popular attractions.
The miniature train, complete with a cattle car and caboose, will be operating from 1 – 4 PM on the first and third Saturdays of each month starting in June. The last train boards at 3:50 PM. It is open to riders of all ages. Donations are accepted.
UPDATE: The train will NOT be running on August 6 as originally scheduled due to the lack of enough volunteer staff available that day. The final opportunity will be on August 20.

The McKenzie family of New Franklin donated the train to Guilford Township. It is staffed by the members of the Cumberland Valley NRHS. The original Quincy railroad station was relocated to Norlo Park and restored to preserve a rare piece of Cumberland Valley Railroad history.
The railroad-themed park includes a passive display of two cabooses, a flat car, a wooden tank car, and two old railroad bridges.
Norlo Park is located off Route 30 at 3050 Lincoln Way E, Fayetteville. It is a public park on more than 140 acres of former farmland. It offers area residents access to picnic pavilions, soccer fields, softball fields, tennis and basketball courts, a dog park, walking trails, a children’s recreation area, train rides, and a display of historic Pennsylvania Railroad equipment and buildings.
