Franklin County Fair Kicks Off July 10
The Franklin County Fair showcases the traditions, sounds, and flavors of Franklin County. The weeklong agriculture fair will be held Sunday, July 10 through Saturday, July 16, 2022, at the Chambersburg Rod and Gun Club grounds at 3725 Warm Spring Road.
Admission to the county fair is free with a $5-per-vehicle parking fee from 4 PM – 9 PM Monday – Thursday and a $10-per-vehicle parking fee 3 PM – 9 PM Friday and Saturday.
Come hungry! Food stands are open 10 AM to 10 PM daily, serving Fresh Cut Fries, Big Boy Hoagies, Funnel cakes, Ice Cream Filled Donuts, Bar-B-Que, Brisket, Pork Burgers, Ham Sandwiches, Homemade Ice Cream, Soft Pretzels, Tacos/Nachos, and Lemonade.
Entertainment includes Day Star (Sunday, July 10 at 7 PM), David King – Elvis Tribute (Tuesday, July 12 at 6:30 PM and 7:45 PM), True Blue Tour featuring Joe Quick (Wednesday, July 13 at 6:30 PM), The Reagan Years – 80s Tribute Band (Thursday, July 15 at 7 PM and 9 PM), and Park Avenue ( Saturday, July 17 at 7 PM).
The fair schedule includes Dairy, Beef, Goat Shows, Exhibits, and Fair Pageants (Little Miss, Princess, and Queen). New this year is a Cowboy Church with Liberty Horse Freestyle, Trail Challenge, and Tack Swap on Sunday, July 10 at 9:30 AM.
Arena events include the Skid Loader Rodeo on Tuesday, July 12 at 7 PM and Bullride Mania (Sheep Riding, Stick Horse Races, Girl’s Barrels, and Bull Riding) on Saturday, July 16 at 7:30 PM.
Truck and Tractor Pulls will be held Monday at 7 PM, Wednesday at 6 PM, and Friday at 6:30 PM. In addition, a Garden Tractor Pull will be Thursday at 7 PM.
Children will enjoy a Magician & Balloon Artist Monday through Friday at 6:30 PM and Saturday at 2 PM and 6:30 PM. Other children’s events include a Bounce & Play Zone, Baby Barnyard, and Critter Connections.
