End-of-Summer Dog Swims!
The end of August and Labor Day weekend means the local pools are closing. However, many community pools offer dog swims at the end of the season before they drain and clean the pools. So let your pooch have one last dog day of summer!

CHAMBERSBURG
Puppy Paddle is on Saturday, September 10, 2022, from 10 AM to 1 PM. Bring your furry friend to enjoy a plunge before the Chambersburg Aquatic Center Pool officially closes for the year! The cost is $5 a dog.
- Dogs must be friendly and “non-aggressive “ in nature.
- Please bring proof of county license and vaccination records at the time of entrance.
- Female dogs in any state of heat will not be permitted.
- All dogs must be leashed while on the pool deck, and owners must always be present.
- Dogs must be accompanied by an adult owner (18 yrs).
- Owners are responsible for cleaning up after their dogs. There is a maximum of two dogs per adult human.
The Chambersburg Aquatic Center is located at 1 Washabaugh Way, Chambersburg, PA.
WAYNESBORO
The Borough of Waynesboro’s annual Dog Day at the Pool will be held on Saturday, September 10, from 1 PM to 4 PM, at Northside Pool on Brown Street. The cost is $5 for the dog and owner. Each additional person or dog is also $5 ($20 maximum charge for family). No more than two dogs per person. Bring a new bag of dog food for the Antietam Humane Society too! The proceeds benefit Northside Dog Park.
HARRISBURG
A public dog swim will be held on Labor Day, Monday, September 5, at Devon Manor Swim Club, 4400 Devonshire Road, Lower Paxton Township. Dogs under 30 pounds can swim from 4 PM to 5 PM, and dogs over 30 pounds can swim from 5 PM to 7 PM. Owners are welcome to swim with their dogs. The cost is $5 per dog with the owner and $1 for each additional adult or spectator. Dogs must be friendly and up to date on shots.
