Army Heritage Days Return to the US Army Heritage and Education Center in Carlisle

Army Heritage Days are back at the U.S. Army Heritage and Education Center in Carlisle, PA, from 9 AM to 5 PM on September 10 and 11, 2022. Parking and admission are FREE.

After two years, the U.S. Army Heritage and Education Center is pleased to announce the return of the popular Army Heritage Days weekends – now expanded to two full weekends of history fun.

The first Army Heritage Days weekend is September 10-11, featuring live demonstrations of horse cavalry by the living history group Horses in Action and a Huey Helicopter flyover by Liberty Warbirds. The event will also include living history displays, current-serving military equipment, historic weapons demonstrations, history-based STEM experiences such as a World War II radio station, Pratt and Whitney turbine engines, and interactive tours of U.S. Army history.

Army Heritage Days is free and open to the public. To see living history in action, please join the U.S. Army Heritage and Education Center (USAHEC) at 950 Soldiers Drive, Carlisle. The events are from 9 AM to 5 PM Saturday, September 10, 2022, and Sunday, September 11, 2022.

The second weekend, featuring live World War II tanks and artillery, will be on October 15 and October 16, 2022.

The event continues inside the Visitor and Education Center, where visitors can participate in the popular Veterans Meet and Greet and explore the indoor museum exhibits. In addition, don’t forget to grab lunch at one of the many food vendors throughout the event, visit the museum store, and partake in the Army Heritage Center Foundation’s massive book sale. Parking is also free, and the USAHEC facility is handicapped accessible.
