Model Railroad Open Houses for the 22/23 Holiday Season
Model train open houses are fun for all train lovers, little and big alike!
The Cumberland Valley Model Railroad Club will open its doors for six Holiday Open Houses. The public is invited to see over 50 model trains running of all sizes – from the tiny T-scale to the G-gauge set. Admission is FREE, but donations are welcome.
The clubhouse on 440 Nelson Street in Chambersburg will be open from Noon – 4 PM on the following dates:
- Sunday, December 11, 2022
- Sunday, December 18, 2022
- Monday, December 26, 2022
- Monday, January 2, 2023
- Sunday, January 8, 2023
- Sunday, January 15, 2023
The event will feature ten train gauges with layouts, including Jurassic Park, an Oil refinery, Lumber Mill, Working Carnival, and rural Pennsylvania countryside. In addition, young children will enjoy layouts of Thomas the Tank Engine & Friends, a Cartoon train, and a Lego layout.
The open house location is handicap accessible, and there is plenty of free parking.
