Get ready to feel merry and bright as Shippensburg kicks off the holiday season on Saturday, December 3, 2022.
Shippensburg Christmas Parade & Tree Lighting
The Shippensburg Christmas Parade will take place Saturday, December 3, at 6 PM. Sponsored by the Downtown Organizations Investing Together (D.O.I.T.), the parade will feature marching bands, dance groups, churches, Boy and Girl Scouts, businesses and other organizations, and Santa Claus. The parade procession will begin on N. Fayette Street to King Street and continue north for several blocks to disperse onto Prince Street. The 2022 theme is “A Country Christmas.”

Complementary horse-drawn wagon rides from Benchfield Farms will be available following the tree lighting until 9 PM. Boarding will take place on the corner of King and Prince Streets.
Shippensburg Christmas Market
A Christmas Market will take place Saturday evening, December 3, at Shippensburg First Church of God Annex at the corner of Prince and King Street. The Shippensburg First Church of God’s Outreach hosts the holiday market and features food and local vendors beginning at 4 PM.
After the parade and until 9 PM visit with Santa Claus at the Shippensburg 1st Church of God Annex.
