Reading Rainbow event to be held on March 11
The Reading Rainbow event, sponsored by the Shippensburg Kids Events Committee, will be held on March 11, 2023. The annual event promoting literacy and reading takes place at the Shippensburg Firefighters Activity Center, 33 West Orange Street, from 8:15 AM – 12:30 PM. Admission is FREE!
There will be fun activities suitable for children in PreK through 5th grade. Activities include water-based tattoos, guest readers, caricatures by Kent Roberts (nominal fee), Jazz Band, a Scholastic Book Fair, a Giant Inflatable Slide, Wilson School of Gymnastics & Dance, and more. In addition, children will receive a free book while supplies last.
Food and drinks will be available for purchase from Redemption BBQ.
All book fair proceeds benefit the Shippensburg Area School District Elementary and Intermediate School Libraries.
