Central PA Chainsaw Carvers Festival | Shippensburg Fairgrounds | April 20 – 22

The Shippensburg Area Chamber of Commerce will hold Central PA’s third annual Chainsaw Carvers Festival on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, April 20, 21, and 22, 2023, at Shippensburg Fairgrounds. The festival’s hours on Thursday will be 4 PM to 8 PM; on Friday, 3 PM to 8 PM; and on Saturday, 10 AM to 5 PM. There is FREE general admission and parking, so bring the entire family and see what all the buzz is about! 

The action-packed festival will showcase the Axe Women Loggers of Maine and 35+ professional chainsaw carving artists. Other attractions include country line dancing, The Sunken Axe LLC, the Pennsylvania WoodMobile, a beer garden, a rock climbing wall, food trucks, vendors, and more! 

There will be a quick carve auction on Friday and Saturday at 7 PM and the masterpiece auction on Saturday at 1 PM. 

Axe Women Loggers of Maine will bring high-energy entertainment with nine 30-minute performances throughout the festival. The all-female team performs logging sports, including axe throwing, crosscut sawing, and crowd favorite, log rolling. See the lumberjills in action on Thursday at 5 PM and 6 PM, Friday at 4 PM, 5:30 PM, and 6:30 PM, and Saturday at 11 AM, 12:30 PM, 2 PM, and 4 PM. 

On Friday night, April 21, from 5 – 8 PM, come for Country Line Dancing with Lars and Dana. Free instruction too!
