The Downtown Business Council of Chambersburg is organizing the annual Christmas Parade in Downtown Chambersburg on Saturday, November 18, 2023, starting at 6 PM.
The 53rd Annual Christmas Parade will feature bands, floats, cars, twirlers, dancers, and lots of seasonal cheer, kicking off the festive Holiday season. Join in and witness the Christmas tree lighting by Santa Claus himself!
The parade route starts at King and Main Streets, moves south on Main to Washington Street, then east on Washington to Second Street, and north on Second to Grant Street for disbanding.
A heads up from the Chambersburg Police Department: No parking along the parade route from 3 PM onwards on the following streets:
- Philadelphia Ave (300 block)
- N Main St
- S Main St to E Washington St
- E Washington St (100 block)
- S Second St from E Washington St to the 400 block of N Second St
Violators will be towed. Traffic on W Loudon St (eastbound) will detour at Cedar St, and on Lincoln Way East (westbound) at Third St, avoiding the parade route.
Additionally, certain streets will be closed:
- E King St from N Third St to N Main St
- W King St from Hood St to N Main St
- W Washington St from Black Ave to S Main St
- E Washington St from S Third St to S Second St
All streets will reopen after the parade, around 8 PM.
