Easter is Sunday, April 1. Here’s a comprehensive list of all Easter Egg Hunts and Bunny Trains & Trolleys in the South Central PA area. This list will be updated as additional Easter activities are received.
Easter Bunny Breakfast
Saturday, March 24 SHIPPENSBURG
Join the Easter Bunny for breakfast at Memorial Lutheran Church in Shippensburg on Saturday, March 24. A Pancake Breakfast with the Easter Bunny will be served from 8AM -11AM in the church’s Fellowship Hall. In addition to pancakes, enjoy sausage, fruit cocktail, donut holes, coffee, milk & fruit punch. Morning activities include Easter crafts, visit with the Easter Bunny, and door prizes too. This is a FREE event hosted by Memorial Lutheran Church Fellowship Outreach Committee. Reservations are appreciated but drop-ins are welcome. Easter Egg Hunts
Saturday, March 24 SHIPPENSBURG
There will be an Easter Egg Hunt at the Shippensburg Public Library on March 24 beginning at 11AM. There will be 4 different age groups and 2 slots for each age group. The age groups and time slots will go as follows: Ages 0 – 3 11:00AM & 11:20AM; Ages 4 – 6 11:40AM & 12:00PM; Ages 7 – 9 12:20PM & 12:40PM; Ages 10 – 12 1:00PM & 1:20PM. The egg hunt will take place in the Children’s Wing and there will be an open craft in the Community Room. The Easter Bunny will also be there so bring your cameras! There will be one prize egg hidden during each time slot. Eggs will be filled with Candy or Book Coupons for the Book Nook. Egg limits will be announced at the beginning of each egg hunt. Shippensburg Kids Event Committee presents Easter at the Gazebo on March 24, 11AM – 3PM. This event has been postponed until April 7. Games, Balloon Pop, Egg Race, Egg Toss, Pick an Egg. Bonnet Contest at 2PM.
Ridge Church of the Brethren (1095 Ridge Rd.) is having a community egg hunt on March 24 at Noon (moved INDOORS). Children from age 3 to 5th grade are welcome for crafts, games, story time, and Easter photos. Hot dogs, chips and drinks too. Each child will also receive a certificate for a free meal at Texas Roadhouse.
Saturday, March 24 CHAMBERSBURG
Cancelled Menno Haven is hosting their annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, March 24. The event will be held on the front lawn of Chambers Pointe (formerly Penn Hall). Bring your baskets & your camera.
M&S Harley-Davidson’s Easter Egg Hunt will be Saturday, March 24, 2018, 11AM – 2PM. This event has reached capacity. However, you MUST pre-register here as it is limited to 300 children. Only children need tickets (parents will be permitted to watch the hunt). Age Brackets: 12 months-3 years, 4-6 years, 7-10 years. Please print and bring ticket stub to the event. Pap’s Dog Stand will be selling food and making balloon animals. Ice cream will also be on sale. M&S Harley is located at 160 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg.
A Children’s Easter Celebration will be March 24 at the Presbyterian Church of Falling Spring, from 10AM to 11:30PM. Meet the Family Life Center for the Easter story, Easter-themed crafts, and end the morning with an outside (moved INDOORS) egg hunt. This event is free and open to all.
Anything Kidz (1912 Philadelphia Ave, Chambersburg) 4th Annual Easter Egg Hunt is March 24, 10AM – 1PM. Over 10,000 eggs (moved indoors). Stuffed animals, books, and plenty of prizes too. Ages 0-3 10AM; Ages 4-6 10:30AM; Ages 7-12 11AM.

Community Easter Egg Hunt will be held on March 24, 10AM-11:30AM at Marion First United Methodist Church (94 Colorado Street, Marion). Light refreshments.
Saturday, March 24 CARLISLE
A Bunny Hop will be held in downtown Carlisle on March 24, Noon – 3PM. FREE. Dress your children 12 & under in their “Sunday Best” and bring them to downtown Carlisle for an afternoon egg hunt. After picking up a map of participating locations at Georgie Lou’s (56 W. High Street) on the day of the event, families follow it to “Bunny Hop Stops” for treats, games, and crafts. This event usually features more than 30 businesses and organizations.

A free Community Egg Hunt sponsored by the Silver Spring Township Police Department, Cops Care for Kids Program is March 24 at 11AM at Hidden Creek Park.
Saturday, March 24 ORRTANNA
Updated to a huntless Egg Hunt: Come to Mister Ed’s this weekend on Saturday and Sunday 10AM – 6PM and pick out 10 candy-filled eggs to open, plus 1 prize egg (ages 0-100). Kids who were registered for the egg hunt via EventBrite get to open 2 PRIZE EGGS. The Easter Bunny will be at the store from 11AM-2PM Saturday and Noon-1:30PM Sunday for pictures. Registration is now open for Mister Ed’s Elephant Museum’s FREE annual Bunny Party and Easter Egg Hunt. The event will be held on Saturday, March 24, 2018 with hunts at 11AM and 2PM. Your children, walking to 10 years, can hunt for plastic eggs filled with Easter candy and prizes. The event includes a special appearance by the Easter Bunny, live music, and activities like face painting and coloring. There are three age divisions: walking to 3 Years, 4-6 Years and 7-10 Years. The only way to register is by going HERE for the 11AM hunt or HERE for the 2PM hunt. Phone or email registrations will not be accepted.

On Saturday March 24, children ages 12 and younger can participate in the Community Easter egg hunt sponsored Mont Alto Fire Department. 12:30 PM activities, 1:30 PM egg hunt. Mont Alto Fire Department Events Complex carnival grounds, Mont Alto. Activities include face painting, crafts, coloring, and pictures with the Easter Bunny.

The AACA Museum, 161 Museum Drive will be having a Easter Egg Scavenger Hunt on Saturday, March 24, 11AM–1:30PM. FREE for children (up to age 12) with a paid regular admission ($12). Children must be accompanied by at least one adult. Tickets must be purchased at the door to receive this special ticket rate. Guests will hunt to find a variety of “egg spots” within the main and lower levels of the Museum. Treats will be given to each child 12 and under at these treat locations. Hot dogs and popcorn, and pink lemonade while supplies last.
Sunday, March 25 CHAMBERSBURG (for DOGS)
The Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter will hold their annual Easter Hound Hunt at 2PM Sunday, March 25, at the shelter, 5051 Letterkenny Road West. Registration will be at 1PM or prior to the event at cvas-pets.org. Thousands of plastic Easter eggs will be stuffed with dog treats and participants are asked to bring their dogs for the hunt. Cost for participation is a minimum $5 donation to the shelter. Following the hunt, the shelter will hold an Easter bonnet contest. Easter photos will also be taken by donation.
Thursday, March 29 CHAMBERSBURG
Join the Coyle Free Library for their first annual Dinosaur Egg Hunt on March 29 at 6PM. No registration required, egg limits will be announced at the event.
Friday, March 30 HANOVER
Bring the family out to the Codorus State Park to make crafts and hunt Easter Eggs on Friday, March 30, 4PM. Go to the pavilions located off the parking lots to the swimming pool, off Rt. 216, Blooming Grove Rd. Look for signs! Ages 0 to 10. The Easter Bunny will make an appearance and there will be prizes, too. Open to the public and free admission.

Easter Egg Hunt at Pleasant View Mennonite Church, 346 Warm Spring Road will be held Saturday, March 31, 2018. Ages 3-10 can enjoy fun activities, an egg hunt & snacks! Activities at 10AM. Egg Hunt at 10:30AM. Rain or shine.
A Community Easter Fun Day is planned by the Salvation Army of Chambersburg on Saturday, March 31, 10AM – 2PM. You may call the office to preregister at 717-234-6169 (not required).

Phantom Shadow is hosting an Easter Egg Hunt and Bounce Fun Day on March 31, 11AM – 1PM at Shippensburg Memorial Park. Photos with the Bunny and a bounce house in addition to candy and egg hunting. All ages.
The Local Gathering Church of the Nazarene presents a free Easter Egg Hunt with Silly Saturdays Weird Animals on March 31. The event includes music, craft, egg hunt, and light refreshments. Babies to 10 years old. The sections will be from 0-3; 4-5; 6-7; 8-10 years old. Adult Egg hunt following at 11:30AM.
Mongul United Brethren will hold its 9th annual Easter Eggs-travaganza on Saturday, March 31 from 10-Noon (with registration opening at 9:15) at Shippensburg Township Park on Britton Road! This FREE event includes food, activities and crafts for the kids – plus giveaways! There will be over 15,000 eggs for the hunt. Start times for the egg hunt are staggered by age group: 10:00 – 3 and under, 10:10 – 4-5 years, 10:20 – 6-7 years, 10:30 – 8-11 years, 10:40 – Special Needs (16 & under), 11:00 – Giveaways. The American Legion Post 421 is hosting an Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, March 31st beginning at Noon for children ages 0-10 at 10 Little League Ave., Newville.
The Green Spring First Church of God will host its Annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, March 31, 2018 beginning at 1PM. Approximately 4,000 filled eggs. Children will be split into age groups: 3 and under, 4-6, 7-8, and 9-10, and also an area for special needs guests.
Carlisle United Methodist Church is having their Community Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, March 31, 1PM-3PM at Mt. Asbury Retreat Center (1310 Centerville Road, Newville). There will be food, fun, games, puppets, prizes and more! Egg hunts for infants through 5th grade. Sign up at HERE.

Join McCurdy’s Tree Farm and VFW – South Mountain Post 6771 for an Easter Egg Hunt at McCurdy’s Tree Farm (127 Chestnut Grove Rd, Dillsburg). Please plan to arrive early to allow time for the hayride out to the egg hunt. The hunt begins promptly at 11AM on March 31.

Hop Along the Bunny Trail at Hollabaugh’s Brothers Fruit Farm and Market on Saturday, March 31, anytime between 10AM – 1PM. Egg hunts will be broken up into three age groups, and will occur every 20 minutes. Recommended for ages 8 and under (flexible). Registration fee per participating child ($8) includes Easter egg hunt, photo opportunities with Easter Bunny, unlimited wagon rides, craft time, “Fairy Tale Trail” walking story trail in orchards, and much more. Free admission for parents and grandparents. Children are encouraged to bring their own baskets. Registration is not required for this event. Rain or shine.

Land of Little Horses Farm Park will be hosting Easter Eggstravaganza at the park on Saturday, March 31, 2018, 10AM – 5PM. In addition to visiting the little horses, activities include Arts & Crafts, Pose with the Easter Bunny, and a Scavenger Hunt. All the fun extras are included with regular admission rates. Steam Into History is offering an Easter train ride, the Eggspecially Fun Bunny Run with banjo and guitar player, Jeff Greenawalt. Visit and take photos with the Easter Bunny while riding on the train. Your 40 minute ride will take you along the beautiful rail trail with song and stories. Easter Bunny Trolley will operate Saturday, March 24 from 10AM – 4:30PM. Ride aboard a historic electric trolley car at the Rockhill Trolley Museum to Blacklog Narrows where the Easter Bunny will board your trolley to greet each passenger. All children 13 and under will receive a free gift. Fares are only $8 for all riders 2 years of age and older; those under age 2 are free. (UPDATE: This event is ON! As an added bonus, all riders will get to ride the trolley through the snowy countryside.)
