SHIPPENSBURG
A Cruise In will be held at H&H Chevrolet on Friday, September 7, 5-8PM. Hosted by the Toy’s of Time Kruzers Car Club. Food, drink and ice cream available and dash plaques to the first 100 cars. Chinese Auction, Door Prizes, Music by DJ Jerry. Open to all vehicles.
Stop by the Shippensburg Station (intersection of Earl and Fort Streets) for Food Truck Fridays, 11AM – 1PM.
The SHAPE Gallery’s Annual Abstract Exhibit “Beyond the Real” opens on Friday, September 7 with an artists’ reception from 6-8PM. The exhibit features abstract artwork in a variety of mediums by 18 local artists. Free and open to the public.
Rick Tiger and Michael McKenzie will be performing at The Thought Lot on Saturday evening at 7PM. Tickets $5.
On September 8, the Middle Spring Watershed Association will hold their annual Stream Awareness Day. There will be live aquatic exhibits, stream-related activities and games. This event beginning at 10AM will take place at the area behind Shippensburg Borough Offices at 111 N. Fayette Street and Burd Street, across from McCune Lumber. Hot dogs and light refreshments will be available for purchase. A Rubber Duck Derby (tickets $5) will begin at Noon.
NEWVILLE
Maple Lane Farm’s Corn Maze in Newville is open weekends. The 4 acre Corn Maze is in the shape of the historic Laughlin Mill. Search the maze for all 10 clue signs. In addition to exploring the maze, children will enjoy the corn pit. Fun photo ops too! Saturdays from 10AM-7PM, Sundays from 2PM-6PM.
CHAMBERSBURG
There is a Sunflower Field just outside of Chambersburg again this year. Each year, farmers at Lesher Poultry Farm plant the sunflowers in a different location. The 2018 location is Marion Road (both sides). Marion Road is off Interstate 81, Exit 10.
North Square Farmers Market at 50 N. Main Street, Chambersburg is Saturday, September 8 from 8AM to Noon.
The Air Hill Church is hosting their annual fun fest on September 8, 10AM – 3PM. Inflatables, Pony rides, Petting zoo, Barrel train, Games/Prizes, Craft station, Food. Bring a swimsuit, it gets wet at 2PM. Rain or shine.
On September 8 is Second Saturday Movies in the Park! Despicable Me 3 will be shown outside at Chambers Fort Park at approximately 7:30PM. Guests are invited to bring snacks, blankets and chairs. Free kids’ activities are provided one hour before showtime.
GREENCASTLE

MONT ALTO/WAYNESBORO
Experience Life Outdoors is having a Chicken BBQ on Saturday, September 8, 10AM – 2PM. Meal ($9) or 1/2 Chicken only ($6.50). Pick up location will be at the Five Forks Church parking lot, 9244 Five Forks Road, Waynesboro.
Mont Alto Fire Department will be hosting an Auto Show and Tractor Pull. The Auto Show will begin at Noon with Trucks, Jeeps, Semi-Trucks, Racecars, and more on display. The Tractor Pull will begin at 6PM. Admission for ALL DAY is $10 for Adults. Children under 12 are free.
Saturday September 8 from 1-4PM will be the annual dog swim at Northside Pool (138 Brown Street). Just $5 for dog and owner, $5 for each additional person or dog. $20 maximum per family. All proceeds benefit the Northside Dog Park. Please bring a bag of dog food for the Antietam Humane Society too!
MERCERSBURG
Stoner’s Dairy Farm & Corn Maze in Mercersburg offers plenty of weekend Fall activities for any age! This year, the 5 acre maze is rain-forest themed. The 2018 season kicks off with a Chicken BBQ at Noon on Saturday, September 8. The opening day will also include a Moon Bounce.
The Conococheage Faire will be held on Saturday, September 8, 10AM – 7PM. Come to the Conococheague Settlement (12995 Bain Rd, Mercersburg) for a day filled with three centuries of music and heritage activities. Early American music thru 19th Century to Hip Hop to 80s Rock. Living historians, craft demonstrators, food, children’s Native American games & crafts, history lectures. Bring your lawn chairs or blankets. $10 General Admission, $20 Carload, Age 10 & under free.
DILLSBURG
At Paulus Orchards, you can celebrate fall harvest season on a farm. On Saturdays 9AM-6:30PM & Sundays Noon-5:30PM, enjoy the 5 acre Corn Maze, Play Land, Wagon Ride, Pick-your-own apples, Pumpkin Patch, and more.
GETTYSBURG
The Gettysburg Wine and Music Festival at Gateway Gettysburg Complex is this weekend, September 8 & 9. Savor hundreds of wines from 27 Pennsylvania wineries and enjoy great live music. Price: $25 at the gate; $12 for youth and designated drivers; free for children under 12.

The Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire is held on the grounds of the Mount Hope Estate. The Wings & Wheels Expo is Saturday, September 8 at Hagerstown Regional Airport. This is a FREE event and a great opportunity to visit the airport and celebrate Hagerstown’s aviation industry. From 9AM – 4PM, see modern aircraft, classic cars, trucks, RC model aircraft and enjoy live music and food!
