Get ready to feel merry and bright as Shippensburg kicks off the holiday season on Saturday, December 2, 2023.
Shippensburg Christmas Parade & Tree Lighting
The Shippensburg Christmas Parade will take place on Saturday, December 2, at 5 PM. Sponsored by the Downtown Organizations Investing Together (D.O.I.T.), the parade will feature marching bands, dance groups, churches, Boy and Girl Scouts, businesses and other organizations, and Santa Claus. The parade procession will begin on N. Fayette Street to King Street and continue north for several blocks to disperse onto Prince Street. The 2023 theme is “A Gingerbread Christmas.”

The tree lighting ceremony is 15 minutes following the parade.
Free Holiday Wagon rides are available at the corner of Prince and King from 7 – 9 PM.
Shippensburg Christmas Market
A Christmas Market will take place Saturday evening, December 2, at Shippensburg First Church of God Annex at the corner of Prince and King Street. The Shippensburg First Church of God’s Outreach will host the holiday market and feature food and local vendors beginning at 4 PM.
