Earn Cash Buying Groceries with Ibotta
They are some ways to get a little extra back on your grocery purchases besides using a scissors & clipping coupons. I already posted about Savingstar and today we will feature Ibotta (pronounced I bought a).
Ibotta like Savingstar is considered a rebate program. This means that instead of taking $0.50 or $1.00 off your grocery total at the register, you will receive money for completed offers after you make a purchase. This also means that you can combine Ibotta offers with manufacturer and store coupons to increase your overall savings.
Ibotta is an app for smartphones (Android and iPhone) that contains many different money saving offers for popular products. Before shopping you need to unlock rebates by completing certain tasks. You may be asked to learn facts, view recipes, watch videos and take one question surveys to unlock. I do not have a linked Facebook or Twitter account but if you do some tasks will involve social media. Tasks typically take between five and thirty seconds to complete. Offers do expire so be sure to redeem before they are gone.
Once you’ve redeemed offers totaling $5 or more, Ibotta lets you transfer your earnings directly to your PayPal account.
I only use Ibotta for Weis & Giant – I linked my loyalty cards and that’s it. Just unlock rebates and purchase the products. It is available for many other stores too. Some require you to scan your receipt and upload. Read more about it here- Ibotta.
